Actually kinda cool
Gives me more options when I build tanks.

Though would be nice if the helicopter tank got some bonuses or something but If it's just models that's cool with me. Very clearly an outsourcing which is fine.

Don't listen to all the hate. Those who hate on the dlc cause its meme and such are just hypocrites cause its okay that Germany can conquer the world but goodness forbid an outsource makes 3d models for you lol

This is a strange stance to take that you don’t plan on revisiting the older content to update it to work with the current game. Maybe I’m misunderstanding but do you mean you don’t want to retroactively update it or you just don’t want to take care of the game. Most of the original DLC’s are showing their age; they need to be unkept with a custodian team. It just seems like you don’t care for the game anymore

I think this was a comment on the schedule, rather than the intention: there will not be another specific GoE-focused update, but we'll continue releasing updates along with War Effort patches, and they'll likely contain GoE changes for the forseeable future.

I won't argue the timing has been an issue here. But timing doesn't release us from an obligation to release something we've openly announced. Outside of that problems with GoE, I think the connection between special projects and prototype vehicles makes thematic sense, even though we might disagree on the extents. I hear you on them being adjacent to SPs though - unit packs have always been cosmetic, but this does give me some ideas.
Saying “outside of the problems with GoE” along with the broader issues around the game and communication, feels like a major handwave. That’s exactly where most of the frustration comes from. We’ve just been told GoE is effectively done. This isn’t about unfortunate timing; it’s about deliberate choices: minimal support for core gameplay, a disastrous last release - its fixes being cut short, and a studio manager who promised more communication still barely above 100 comments, capped off by a frustrating dev diary with zero dev engagement.

Now, here comes another release, one that anyone could have predicted would otherwise land with a shrug, and could've been. None of this was unintended happenstance, or the timing itself.

Okay, since you're clearly avoiding to talk about the elephant in the room (remaining bugs on GoE) in your praise, the devs needs to fix the ""Dominion of India" event from the loyalty branch breaking India" bug first.

If there isn't more operations for Communist India to take Goa and Pondicherry already, add decision/focus to do it too also.

Again, why the need to move up the release date of this DLC to Q2 when there are still many bugs existed on GoE?

These 3D models give you the option to visually change to look of a vehicle of the same type.
Right, but I sincerely don't understand the use case for these?

I mean, there is no "rotor blade" module in the tank designer. Is the purpose of these just in case someone wants their T-34s to look like helicopters for whatever reason?

Yes (or any of the other non-helicopter models)
Yeah I mean all the other ones (that you can actually design) are great. My only suggestion was to next time maybe include more of those - instead of the ones you can NOT actually design and produce (either in the designer or as a special project).

That makes more sense. I’m hoping that every country with a focus tree will get a major overhaul at some point. Especially America, UK, and Japan. They desperately need one again in the same vein as Gotterdamerung.

Didn’t you know… Afghanistan and the Belgian Congo are far more deserving of a top notch Focus tree.

I honestly don't get all the hate towards this vehicle pack. I mean, it was pre-announced already way before the EP1 became available, so people could already decide back then if to buy the EP or not.
and they can just not buy it or not select the optional and visual only models when making a tank, or hell just disable it in the launcher

...which does imply that somehow they're able to be finished with this DLC's contents first rather than additional models for GoE countries.
literacy is dead, the very quote you quoted said
We have some good news! Prototype Vehicles are almost ready to roll out
they finished the models and animations for the 3D model pack
the pack announced months ago

a 3d designer isn't a programming lead or scripter or engine tweaker
He is not saying that GoE wasn't fixed because the 3D artists making this DLC weren't fixing GoE.

He is saying that people is angry about this DLC because it comes after Paradox failed to deliver on their "we'll fix GoE" speech.

Adding more content when the previous one is still to be fixed is not going to be popular, regardless of what it is.

thats great but how is a 3d designer meant to deal with GoE being buggy?

What aren't you understanding?

Again, he isn't saying the 3D artists that made this DLC should be working on fixing GoE.

He is saying that people is angry because Paradox has moved on without fixing GoE.

Seriously, I like this DLC and even I can see how baffling it is to act like GoE is in a good enough state not only to start talking about the next DLC but even deliver it earlier than expected.

I know but this is about communication. People are rightfully unhappy about the lack of fixing GoE and then to announce a new DLC without addressing their concerns makes people unhappy.
