I know but this is about communication. People are rightfully unhappy about the lack of fixing GoE and then to announce a new DLC without addressing their concerns makes people unhappy.
this dlc was announced months ago in November, were they meant to delete all their work because the other dlc was terrible?

These won't replace any of your existing or default models. They are selectable only by opting-in to changing a model design on a piece of equipment through the equipment designer (including the non-NSB version if you only have that).

Can the models that currently exist for tanks and planes be renamed to match their real life version instead of model 1, 2, 3 etc.?

Jesus Christ...the game is getting more and more ridiculous with the passing of time and the worst thing is that there is even more to come...

God knows how long we'll have to wait for the so called "war effort" patches to fix all the bugs/issues/glitches the game has...

That makes more sense. I’m hoping that every country with a focus tree will get a major overhaul at some point. Especially America, UK, and Japan. They desperately need one again in the same vein as Gotterdamerung.
Those are dlc thing. War effort are for minor changes, bug fixes and the kind of those.
America, UK, Japan owerhauls, are / would be full dlc. Not small patches

Delete?

They moved DLC's release date forward despite GoE is not fully fixed, and he asked the devs to stick to the original schedule for the cosmetic pack until GoE is fully fixed. Where did @Duke_Dave implied that all their hardworks for that DLC must be deleted?

thats great but how is a 3d designer meant to deal with GoE being buggy?

You're completely ignoring the points raised by them and by many others.

Some players take issue with the fanciful designs or how they were implemented, even when surrounded by otherwise solid content. Especially in the context of other fanciful content. Those resources could have been used more effectively elsewhere, whether on more realistic designs, grounded prototypes, GoE content, or the next DLC. Regardless, 3D artists are still part of the same team and budget.

More importantly, this release arrives as previous content remains half baked and is announced as effectively abandoned. We have seen this pattern before. Criticism is dismissed, promises to improve both content and communication are broken, and then more paid content is pushed out. Just look at how the core concerns here, as well as in those in last dev diary, have been completely ignored. The game still lacks meaningful support, war efforts are shallow, and this kind of content, like it or not, helps fund that continued neglect. Players are right to be frustrated.

It is like ordering chicken at a restaurant, receiving it raw, sending it back, and getting it back still half raw after the chef has already gone home. Then they bring out a dessert you are allergic to and say, "You don’t have to eat it, but you did want ***dessert*** and this is as dessert" And of course, it is all part of a pre-sold combo meal. "At least the side dish was decent. Come back tomorrow for a new combo."

Who wouldn't complain, who would come back again? Whether the baker and the chef are different people is largely beside the points raised. Individually or holistically.

"Noooo, you have to treat alt-history seriously! My fantasies!"

"Noooo, why aren't your 3d artists learning to cooode?!"

Can't wait for HoI4 to become feature complete and for development to be over, with HoI5 coming never. I don't know how Paradox continues to put up with this. Alcohol?

And still folks tell us that adding so many machine guns to a tank design is unrealistic ;)
All i care is to get it available for Dutch East Indies as it was historically happened in 1941-2.

Yeah, i'm not that avid when it comes to gunnery....

Then let’s discuss why we’re getting this and not say Dev corners earlier or more fixes and game improvements first
Not blaming the artists, but yeah, the higher-ups can be confusing at times, seeing that GoE is not fixed yet a full third into Q2.

At least it would be a nice gesture to fix it fully first before greenlighting the prototype pack to be released earlier. The artists can focus on the Q4 DLC or adding more models/arts for GoE countries if there are any left, obviously. Q3 release is still 3-5 months away.

I didn’t intend my post to come across as blaming the artists. It’s more so about how it just kind of looks like paradox is pivoting away from discussing fixing GoE at all. Greenlighting this looks bad

Currently they're available to their "main" country of use/purchase. In this case Netherlands. Could expand that to DEI fairly though I think, but the US might be a bit of a stretch.
