Please add the path of Shiite Iraq.
Realistically the shiite path would be the communist one. A proper Islamic revolution path for Iran would make use of Iraqs shias. But shias should feature in domestic politics.

Have you ever looked at a picture, thinking "Yupp, this is it. Time to work on Hearts of Iron 5."?

Well this picture did it for me:

The Funny thing is that they basically just went to
and put their mockups of batshit crazy prototypes into 3d models as you can see with the grasshopper here:

Lol wtf. It would have been better to keep it more realistic imo, even with the more outlandish concepts. This is just insanity.

Especially given that plenty of the other designs in here were actually a lot more closer to being useful, realistic or even production.

It seems to me that since around AAT, the game has moved further in a direction of "memeyness" and "LOLs", while ignoring or underinvesting in the more grounded aspects and core of the game. Initially, I wrote that down to lack of direction and leadership, and inexperience among new hires. Lately, im wondering if its more a problem of the actual intended direction.

I honestly feel bad for the induvidual developers that have to invest so much time and effort into content that the community is so unenthusiastic about.

I like what this pack adds, especially the French tank with the oscillating turret. But please, please add/update models! The T34, Tiger I/II, most regular tank models feel old, and the tank models pack(s) only add tank destroyers! Why does the game still lack a T34-85 and IS-1/2? Why is there no late war Bf-109? why do the Soviets have a broken modern tank model?

Updating the models would really help the game and the players, at least the players that like to look at the models. You don't have to add every tank/plane into the game, but the game lacks a lot of it right now, and updating the model packs would go a long way. As I said, you don't need to add 100s of tank models, just enough models to fill the majors. At least a good model for the improved, advanced and modern chassis/airframe for the US, Soviets, UK, France, Germany, Italy, Japan... And It wouldn't even be a lot of effort as half of the allies would be reskinned and just a little modified version of american equipment! Allies had a bunch of lend-leased equipment towards the end.

As one of the staff said, they are trying to appeal to every player(it was something along the lines of that if i didn't misunderstand) so, this wouldn't be something bad, right?

We're definitely open to other model updates. Some of the basegame models have been around for a decade now, but there's also room for some other cool stuff.

Well since you need someone to do a research post for you, and one thing I’ve seen pointed out is Iraq joining the war too early, here is the Wikipedia page for the Anglo-Iraqi war that started in 1941 not 1940

More terrifying facts of the game: German invasion in SOV don't happen in 1941.6.22; attack on Pearl Harbor even is staged in mid-1941......

Yeah but normally Germany invaded the Soviet Union during spring and summer 1941, Japan attacks USA in late 1941, early 1942 at least in my last games.

Well, considering this is a thread about the "Prototype Vehicles Unit Pack", any discussion of anything else is technically off-topic. Even complaining about your personal pet peave not getting fixed is off-topic in this thread.
You mean anything related but critical. Calling community-wide legitimate concerns a "personal pet peeve" shows how unserious some of you are.

The idea that direct measured criticism of the product, its implications, and a response to a dev (who also addressed GoE in this very thread) is somehow off-topic is absurd. Especially compared to the legitimate off-topic replies. They could have addressed this in the other dev diary - or at all - but they didn’t. At this point, it’s harder and harder to see these threads as anything more than controlled spaces for group approval rather than real community engagement. Anything else is derailed or ignored.

This will be the last I say here, since it’s now moving further from the original topic, and I’ve voiced my concerns. But honestly, this whole exchange just leaves me somehow even more worried about the direction of the game.
