Thank you very much for your work!

I wonder if anyone would be interested in trying to get Kasperus' MWATK beta map running with FTG?

Cool map, would be awesome for a 1066 - 1453/92 time frame.

You realise that map has already been released as a part my mod? I plan on converting Medieval World onto FTG if/when possible.

I hope that all map makers plan on doing the same thing with their works. Especially AU and MyMap (the latter, sadly, having really small chances for this, with Agung Pasha's departure :().

BTW, what happened that mandead is banned?

As i said in another thread, he is taking a little trip.

I am, curious, however, how didnt he get permanently banned yet.

when (not if)

This is one of the goals, and not only for a "simple" conversion.

1 The structures of the events are the same of Eu2 and are there the only new commands or not?
2. How many religions and goods could I set in FTG?
3. The implementation of the cultures are like Eu2 or Eu3?
4. When could I have a event guide of event and in general modding of FTG?

1. Most probably lots of new commands, don't know yet about the event structures - will have to wait until a dev diary to get that cleared.
2. If I understand correctly - no limits, or at least a lot more than in EU2.
3. Development diares will tell, but I suppose the cultures are going to look much more like they used to in EU2. :)
4. After the release of the game? Or at least, once betas are published.

This will certainly happen. We shall wait for further news.

See above post for explanation about new AGCEEP map and why it won't be included for obvious reason. I understand your idea about PTI but such feature can't be implemented without reworking the structure of the map and it was not affordable in a first version. Map is the hardest nut to crack in the source code and require specific skills. Nothing is impossible but this was not the right time for it and we had so many things to implement before...

Not sure I can answer to this question. Paradox should tell, including possible pre-order campaign.

ABout the map,

in 2003 it was a guy in the forum ( a brilliant one) who did some reverse engeniring on the .exe , and started to modify the map. At one point it popep up here, and asked for help; help that was given by Johann itself. I do remenber Johann pointing to the exact snipets where the map can be modify.

Not sure that can help, but if the forum is baked up somewhere, it might be worth to browse the part related to the first semester 2003.

By the way, I do hope that time I will be able to play the county of Burgundy (Franche Comte) and try to realize my ancestor dream (brake free from HRE and France).

I suppose the guy was Inferis and resulting tool Magellan.

There is a big difference between creating a map according to map rules in the source code and breaking those rules directly in the source code. ;)

Is it fair to say that AGCEEP is the reason why EU2 retained its popularity for so long, and the promise of improved AGCEEP play is why FTG is the first (and ever only?) reworked game from the EU2 code base?

If AGCEEP is EU2's real continuing raison d'etre, why not just formally integrate AGCEEP into the standard, default FTG?

Since we might assume that by far most people will play FTG with AGCEEP, why not just merge the two and be done with it (thereby avoiding any hassles stemming from playing a non-native mod)?

(Copyright issues, perhaps?)

If people prefer the other EU2 mods, well, they still have EU2 and those mods, don't they? :p

[Why do I phrase all my assertions as questions? ]
