Eng. Eshel was absolutely infuriated. Production hadn’t yet begun, and now there was a virus in the systems! And nobody had any idea where it came from, or what it had actually done! Just great, great. How on earth was she supposed to meet the recent goals set by the corporate, she thought. At least the power was back on, but Rivka still did all calculations by hand, as she simply didn’t trust the computers anymore, unless of course somebody managed to give her conclusive proof that the virus was either gone or hadn’t affected her carefully modeled simulations. Furiously she spent her time hitting and banging the keyboard of her desktop, in an effort to find out more about the virus, its purpose and origin. Angered by the seeming lack of progress, she called the captain on holophone to request permission to restart the lithium extraction and refining processes. Whatever was the deal with the virus, getting production going on again was now a primary goal, at least if she ever wished to get a better job. Preferably somewhere far away.
