As Kenny points out, the newest version has only just been released.

However, if you are referring to a version 1.1, then the answer is no, there won't be any more versions. At least, I'm not going to be making any more.

Surely you will release small bugfixes and graphic packs, at least?

I will compile one more small update/fix within the next few days or so. After that, I shan't do any additional work on the mod. If you or some other person really wants to carry TGW on, then they are welcome to do so.

As far as I am concerned, HOI is obsolete. With HOI II being released, any work on TGW is a waste of time, in my opinion. :)

Sad it might be, but it's common sense, in my opinion. I have already began work on a First World War mod for HOI II and I don't want to be burdened with unnecessary work.

Can´t wait to get HOI II so that I can help. (can you at least release the 1918 scenario when it´s done? I feel that we have a commitment to our fans on this point)

:) When you get the 1918 scenario finished, I shall be happy to have it uploaded. Furthermore, if any of you want to carry on the mod's work generally, then do so - I can't and won't stop you!

I'm also keen to start working on HOI2:TGW (or whatever else it will be called), but I see no reason why things developed for that can't be carried back here. For example, the hardest part of making a sprite is the modelling and animating. After that's done, making a version for HOI and another for HOI2 won't be too much trouble. New events and leaders could probably be carried back without too much trouble. That mostly leaves out AI and tech balancing (unfortunately, that's where TGW is weaker, ATM.) Tech seems to be very different. I don't know much about the AI files, but maybe revised garrison parameters and build priorities could be carried back?

Well, I made a game as France.
By far better as older versions! I have much trouble to hold the line in Belgium, and I was almost Overwhelmed. Well, finally I won (taking berlin in Spring 1916).
Some strange things: -I didn't get the Rhineland. (According to the defeat Events, I should have)
-Austria Hungary didn't disappeared! Actually, she gets defeated but she remains in Tschecoslovakia!

Very good release.
(oh, maybe is french Army a little bit under estimated! ;) )

I got the same result regarding A-H, they were defeated, the events fired, a lot of nations were created, but A-H was still holding Venice, Czechoslovakia and most of Serbia. (The problem with Serbia might've been caused by Serbia being, by that time, a one-province nation holding just Skopje).

I think I'm finished with porting most changes from Starfire.

Forts ought to be twice as effective, fighting at night is going to be nearly impossible, and the weather should have harsh effects.

I can't wait to test it.

Also, I found a bug in the Firepower/Manpower techs.

For example, it reads

command = { type = manpower which = infantry now value = 2 }

when it should be

command = { type = manpower which = infantry when = now value = 2 }

The Austria-Hungarian defeat always caused problems for me. I think I solved them all for myslef but not sure if I should post them here (If they work perfectly for me that doesn't mean they will work perfectly for everyone :) ). I also added defeat events for Greece, which loses all it's islands but no continental territory, for Portugal and for Spain, which lose most of their colonial posessions to the victorious side.

Regarding HOI2, since most of HOI fans will obtain HOI2 as soon as it comes out, I think it's good for you to relax for a while and wait till HOI2 comes out so you can start working on HOI2 version of TGW in full strength :) . Good luck anyways :)

How might the Czechoslovakian part be explained when the event in question includes the following coding:

Code:
command = { type = independence which = BUL value = 1 }
command = { type = independence which = ITA value = 1 }
command = { type = independence which = MTN value = 1 }
command = { type = independence which = ROM value = 1 }
command = { type = independence which = GRE value = 1 }
command = { type = independence which = ALB value = 1 }
command = { type = independence which = HUN value = 1 }
[b]command = { type = independence which = CZE value = 1 }[/b]

If there are still unfathomable problems after all the changes I have made to this pain-in-the-arse event chain, then I can only shrug, wonder why, and leave it as it is.

Is it perhaps that a country cannot release nations until it doesn´t exist anymore? (all its provinces cannot be given to puppets?) And as Czecholslovakia is the last command, A-H remains in Czechoslovkia.
