The town of "Shannon" in Ireland is misnamed. It should be called "Limerick". The confusion probably arose from Limerick being situated on the mouth of the River Shannon. There is a new town built in the 1950's called Shannon, that might also have caused some confusion during research. Great game, keep it up.

Vladivostok is a Russian colonial name that literally means "Rule over East" or "Keeping the East" – it was a declaration of intent in the name of the colony (mostly populated by immigration form Ukrainian and sprinkled by Polished dissidents, with eventually completely forcefully eliminated Chinese population, but this is a separate story).

In the time period and under Qing dynasty a village there should be called Haishenwai. A Russian city name is exceptionally out of place at the start of the game, but will be a great touch if Russian repeat the history in game taking over that territory. See wiki for few more details about my hometown history.

Keep in mind that since we do not have dynamic renaming for hubs…
I hope it is something that could be added to the game, naming places by the other nation names just does not make sense and reinforces bad history. Vladivostok is Russian name with very specific meaning, a hub in Qing dynasty China just cannot hold a name like this.

  1. The name of Jilin(吉林) and Heilongjiang(黑龙江) in game quite weired. It just as weired as naming Estonia as "Northern Baltic" and naming Latvia as "Southern Baltic"

They are, with Shengjing, named as Three province of Northest(东三省), marked as provinces of China. The difference between them and other provinces just in administration,

2. As for Tibet, It is the province of China.

3. Wrong provs in states

The provs as I select below, should be in Hunan or You get add a new states named "Northen Hunan", But don't marked them as Guangxi, It's ridiculous.

The provs as I select below, aka. Xuzhou(徐州), should be in Jiangsu,.

The provs as I select below, aka ChenzhouFu(陈州府) and GuideFu(归德府), should be in Henan province.

The provs as I select below, aka DongchuanFu(东川府),Qujingfu(曲靖府) and Zhaotongfu(昭通府), should be in Yunnan province.(May not so accurate)

The capital of New South Wales is Canberra, which would not exist until almost the end of the game's timeframe and was never the capital of New South Wales. The capital of NSW should be Sydney.

Edit/PS: Virtually all NSW town names have typos. "Dubba" should be "Dubbo", "Armdale" should be "Armidale", and "Broken hill" should be "Broken Hill" (both capitalised).

In addition, the South Australian city "Coober Pedy" is incorrectly spelt in-game as "Coober Peddy".

There is also a large island on the coastal border between New South Wales and Victoria which doesn't exist at all in real life, and doesn't seem to serve any gameplay purpose.

I don't know if this is considered an error in the location of the "hub", because it involves an offset in the location of the island where the hub is located. The white color is the exact island location from the GIS. When superimposed on the game's provinces.bmp, it looks like this. You can see that the game's French Polynesia is quite a bit further south than the correct location.

Korea was a vassal state of the Qing Dynasty, while Vietnam and Ryukyu were within its sphere of influence. France needed to sign a treaty with the Qing Dynasty when it attacked Vietnam. Tibet is a province

Old maps published by Europeans are not necessarily the best reflection of the geopolitical realities of non-European states during this time period.

In particular, the subject-master relationship depicted in game is a very bad fit for Joseon. The tributary system was a lot more loose and Korea in many ways acted more like an independent state, which is why France and the USA were able to launch punitive expeditions there without going to war with the Qing Dynasty at the same time.

This is WAD, see the OP:
Keep in mind that since we do not have dynamic renaming for hubs, we often use names that are anachronistic for 1836 but which would become relevant later in the timeframe. We do not consider these bugs unless the settlement in question was founded after our end date, 1936.

There are far worse examples, like the Zulu capital being "Pietermaritzburg"

I would like to point out wrong names in the state of Bohemia and Moravia. Moreover, the hub names do not include Czech letters, while on the other hand Polish, Hungarian, Spanish and other cultures use their native spelling (such as ó, é etc.), so I included both versions.

1. "Ceske" --> should be "České Budějovice/Ceske Budejovice" - if it is too long, just keep "Budějovice/Budejovice". Ceske is an adjective and does not make sense to use as a shorter version of the town.

2. "Jihlaba" --> should be "Jihlava"

3. If you include the native spelling for the first suggestion, please change "Breclav" --> "Břeclav" so that it is consistent.

Thank you for taking a look at this.

Minden and Bielefeld are both parts of prussia and not of the kingdom of Hannover.
Minden is left of the river Weser and the states of Schaumburg-Lippe and Lippe are right of Bielefeld and Minden.
Both states belong actually right between Minden and Hannover

In Michigan, both the Upper and Lower Peninsulas have land borders with Canada.
At Detroit, Port Huron, and Sault Ste. Marie the borders must be represented with rivers, with Detroit coming from the French Détroit, meaning 'strait'.

The problem with Armenia is that while Kars is an Armenian homeland, it is not actually an Armenian core. This is most likely an oversight.
I don't think the homelands always correspond 1:1 with cores for whatever reason despite that being the impression devs gave off? Like Adana is also an Armenian homeland because of Armenia minor. I hope it's just an oversight. I don't think releasable countries were really touched on in much detail during the game's development. (Sorry, rant coming, I've been playing around with releasable nations so it's on the mind)I wish you had more control over what territory that nations you release actually get. Like Ukrainians have a lot of homelands which makes sense, but it makes Ukraine when released look like a giant formless blob with no rhyme or reason, I wish you could pick and choose which lands they got.

One big thing I've been having issues I've had with releasing nations is the capital state restriction. For some like Mountain Republic it's literally broken and its capital state is listed as Kazan. If you control the Balkans and Anatolia it's literally impossible to release Turkey if you have released Greece first. Maybe releasables need multiple alternative capital states so that it doesn't get too crazy, but it also doesn't result in stupidity like being unable to release the Anatolian highlands at all just because Greece controls Constantinople.

Please refer to this figure for the division of provinces in the Qing Dynasty

With regard to Tibet, either Tibet should be set as a province in the Qing, either set Tibet and Korea as vassals of Qing, set Vietnam as a tributary of Qing, and set Ryukyu as a vassal of Japan and a tributary of Qing.

Heraklion and Chania are in the wrong locations in Crete.

Chania should be in western crete, in game it is where Heraklion is, While Iraklion is closer to where Chania is.
