Dead wife, older leader, unappealing heir; I am getting more of a President Ersh vibe and the dynastic end could be in sight. Thank you for the update.
That's an excellent point! ....rededication, perhaps?Wouldn't be the first memorial to a lost love. <Cough, cough> Taj Mahal <Cough>
Troubled times, perhaps, in the horizon. End of the dynasty? As in *gasp* a republoc??? Horror.Dead wife, older leader, unappealing heir; I am getting more of a President Ersh vibe and the dynastic end could be in sight. Thank you for the update.
Yeah, it was sad, but it explains the poor handling of his heir. As for the natives being angry....white men killing their food for fun...?Flavia's dead? That's sad...
Is all of this bison hunting enough to count as overhunting and therefore offensive the native inhabitants of the region (like in OTL)?
Hard to get the AI to work for me.I see that Aurelian has embraced more traditional garb in his golden years. I too hope that Pavlos can refrain from despoiling his parents’ legacy.
Got a warning, and so far all I can say is game is CONSIDERABLY slower.Sorry I haven't been keeping up with comments; busy week at work. Looks like things have been going by quickly--hopefully the patch doesn't spoil it.
It's become a slog, but I am at the end of the 1800s, so I have a lot to tell in the mean time!Enjoy it while you can, when it is no longer fun, move on. Moving on, may be what the populace does if Pavlos takes charge. Thank you and good luck.
He will be a problem. We're just entering now...Pavlos might be a massive problem. Can Aurelian's other children save Elysia from him? Can his advisors successfully temper him?
It does. This guy is a cruel drunk with early signs of mental disorders.Often parents cannot prevent their children from going their own way. And unfortunately the children often do the opposite of how their parents would wish. Hope that doesn't spell trouble for Elysium.

Yeah, I was sad to see her go. But surely they'll be reunited on Olympus, right?History is full of heirs who managed to ruin all of the good their predecessor accomplished. Sad about Flavia, btw.
Either it is poison, or he is being paranoid...Paranoid delusions, auditory hallucinations... things don't look good for Pavlos. And is someone slowly poisoning his wine?
Yeah, he was old when he inherited. He will surely not reign long. But his heir is a child, as you might have noticed...My first thought was that if I were going to inherit to a kingship I'd sure as hell want to do it before I was 56 years old. I'm not even that old yet, and I know I'm not in prime form for managing anything. Forget anyone who's over 70 years old ("do you hear me, politicians in charge?!").
My second thought was he's not got that long to rule, which suggests maybe not that long to mess stuff up??
My third thought was he might not make it to 60, if he's this paranoid and his wine is (or is not?) tainted.
Excellent, if brief, update @Nikolai !
