Goodness me, you are well on your way to becoming Pharaoh of all Anatolia and the Levant as well as Egypt. Should we expect to see the Ptolemids triumph over all of the Near East soon?

Thank you for the new chapter. Good to see your ruler attending to culture and learning in his growing empire while building great works.

No doubt, all the readers are anticipating war in the next chapter after this preface to another conflict with Rome.

It's a bit late for the restoration of the Empire of Alexander, but I plan to do it as close to it as possible. :)

The Ptolemies are above all cultured, civilized beings. :)

And any minute now the war will come to a screen near YOU! :D

It's my starting vassal, actually. :)

Chapter 20
Weary traveler!

The mighty Romans were in dire straits, having fallen into a massive civil war. And Ptolemaios V was just the man to use this to his advantage! Rome was declared war upon with impunity and Egyptian troops flooded into southern Italy.

1736345484592.png

Soon, Lavinium fell, and the war was all but won.

1736345471952.png

Ptolemaios V would not live to see the fruits of his victory, however, as he died of severe inflammation shortly after, leaving the War for Increased Greatness to his successor, Ptolemaios VI.

1736345456933.png

And great was the victory, as Rome itself was to be handed over for peace to reign!

1736345449760.png

Rome was, as with all great cities, left intact, for the glory of the Ptolemies.

1736345442338.png

But, lo and behold, the Romans were still in a civil war, and there were more land to take!

1736345436237.png

And so it was that most of Italy would no longer be Roman, but rather Egyptian, after the Continued War for Increased Greatness was won!

1736345429312.png

Egypt stood strong.

1736345421989.png

And to secure her strength, another huge fleet was ordered built, doubling the size of the Egyptian navy in time!

1736345416088.png

The capital legion of Egypt was also increased greatly in strength, while also being divided into two, as it was too large for one army to be able to be supported in one place.

1736345407067.png

1736345397224.png

And then the Priest Kings of Thebes struck, again.

Chapter 21 New
Esteemed traveler, I salute you!

With half of Egypt in revolt, the empire’s focus was on retaking the rebelling lands. But life goes on, and the Olympics did not wait. To everyone’s glee and as a big boost in morale, Pylaemenes – Egypt’s Pylaemenes – won handily and was cheered as champion!

1737564569955.png

Accidents happen, and they did in Tyndaris in Siculia. Good Guy Ptolemaios VI of course made sure to right things and make the less fortunate happy.

1737564563730.png

And finally, the revolt was beaten and the local elite killed, as was only proper!

1737564557206.png

With this settled, the Egyptian troops were sent east, to Persia, currently ruled in large by Adiabene.

1737564551151.png

The war would be over in 2.5 years and give good gains.

1737564544917.png

With the east settled for now, Ptolemaios VI’s gaze went to Greece, where the Antigonids still reigned over a limited empire.

1737564502427.png

They were allied to the Bosporan kingdom, but they were far away…

1737564486358.png

Soon, the Antigonids were beaten and Athenai, the jewel of Greece, were Egyptian!

1737564479464.png

And that is where I leave you for now, traveler. Until next time!

Egypt is the greatest nation on Earth! You have the strongest athletes, the most merciful rulers, and the best armies. Who would rebel against such utopia? :D

Glad to see this AAR return for another update.

Thanks! Took some weeks, but we're back now I think. Still a bit less energy perhaps.

Chapter 22 New
Greetings, weary traveler!

With Athens secured, the great Ptolemaios VI decided to rein in Judea, which was an obvious threat to the security of their neighbors.

1737927194371.png

The treasonous mercenaries he had employed against the Antigonids and which he was sending southwards, decided to secede though, when some unfortunate expenses meant the royal treasury was emptied abruptly. Thus, he went to war to reclaim his rightful lands close to the Bosphorus.

1737927187909.png

Soon, victory was his. As was only proper.

1737927181598.png

Also Judea was annexed, to become a part of the great Empire of Egypt!

1737927174898.png

Hellenism reigned supreme in almost all of the Egyptian Empire, to the glory of the gods.

1737927166858.png

But Macedonian culture was not as widespread, and as such a change in laws to encourage the spreading of said culture was instituted, for the betterment of all.

1737927160065.png

A part of this was the promise of continued arranging of the Olympics, now under Egyptian supervision.

1737927153184.png

Parts of Anatolia was still not Egyptian led, and that could, of course, not do.

1737927145970.png

And then the Priest Kings of Thebes struck, again…

There must be some trigger that's causing this. I wonder what it could be? The culture conversion policies might help.
