I think this is a bug

I was playing the Hohenstaufens and immediately inherited the Kingdom of Germany w/c I quickly expanded via crusades against the heathen. After that I decided to parcel out my kingdom to my heirs and this one particular fellow who seemed to have every trait, Chaste, Theologian, etc, etc and he was a heretic too. So I decided, as a joke, to make him Bishop of this territory so I granted him a title. Now when you grant titles some of your courtiers will go with him right? The problem is, this heretic bishop got all dead people. It was just hilarious but I thought, isn't this a bug?

Another weird thing I tried out was, I saw this dead guy in my court and I granted him a Bishopric in the Adriatic and he got it! He's got heirs and all but since he's dead I don't think they're going to inherit anything. As they said in some movie - You can't kill him, he's already dead!

Has anyone else had this occurence?

(Playing 1.02) I created a new bishopric and accidentally granted it to a married man (wife still alive) with legitimate children, but he was alive at least :) I'd assumed that married men wouldn't show up in the panel of available courtiers for bishoprics, so I didn't bother to check.

Strangely enough

You can grant diocese bishoprics or bishopric fiefs to married men (even after they're married) and marry someone to those unmarried. They may even become pope! Guess CK doesn't have a vow of celibacy ;)

A lot of wrong has been reported about bishop already.

I'll mark this one as a DUPLICATE.

Please before reporting a bug,

- verify first that the bug doesn't exist already in the buglist OR in the forum (using the Search function).

- only report one bug by thread.

- Use a meaningful thread title (short summary)

- CTD bug needs to be reproducible, and a save available for the moderators to transmit to Paradox.

Thanks, :)
