Bob and I have discussed the possibility of starting a game which main focus is roleplaying and after checking around on ICQ we had enough positive answers to start this thread. Below I will explain everything, the RPing, the rules and so on.

RPing
This game is a RP based game and requires some dedication and from the players that enters this game RPing at least some is demanded from them. This, IMO, makes for an interesting game with a lot of intrigues. It is expected that players will not try to powergame, instead you should try to act as Kings would. To that end quests will be handed out to all countries which if accomplished will gain a reward based on the difficulty and how it was accomplished.
GM's reserve the right to ask players to change their behaviour in some situations (mega alliances, power blocks etc).
Should you be unsecure on how to roleplay, you can always check out FALs game, Destiny and use it to get some tips.
Quests
This game will include quests, similiar to the ones you can see in Destiny and Kingdom Stage. These quests will be secret and sent to the players before the game starts. There will be at least 5 quests per nation, perhaps more should the GMs and Cobjor find the time to make more. Should you complete these quests there will be a reward waiting for you. The rewards will depend on the year you complete it and how hard it was to complete, the rewards will be decided by the GMs.

For quests that are checked in a specific year the game will be paused and saved so that I can take a look at it after the session. Should I forget this, please remind me.
Rules
We have decided that the rules in Götterdämmerung were so good that we will adopt them, with a few changes of course. If FAL doesnt mind that is.
1. Obey the GM. He is your King and Absolute Ruler.
2. The GM reserves the right to edit out the effect of a bug, when he thinks this is necessary. See rule 1.
3. There's a stab hit rule to prevent eternal wars:
4. If you have been at war for 6 years or more with another nation
- and that nations sends you a stabhitting peaceoffer
- and you are at stab -3
- and the peace offer is based upon a warscore of -99 for you,
then you must accept the stab hit peace offer.
5. After each session I will edit out the vassals of each nation with centralization below level '8' and a maximum manpower pool of at least '50'. This way, high manpower nations will not profit too much from the manpower bug. You have always Ten years the time to diplo-annex though.
6. No Trade Agreements whatsoever will be allowed.
7. Every country who reaches 500d goldincome will get a triggered bankrupty event.
8. Prussia will be created no matter what. If someone else (like Poland) will take the Prussia province, Prussia will still be created
9. After the session ended close to the year 1580, the Netherlands will be released with some cookies.
10. Poland will be allowed to stay in Latin tech group if they take the B option in the "The Act of Union-'Rzeczpospolita Polska'" event.
11. Everyone who will be on time for the session will get a cookie for the next session. You can choose between 1% deflation, a scaled stategift or -3 badboy.
12. If you get vassalised by a human player you must stay that way for 20 years, unless the overlord chooses to break it. After 20 years the vassal can break vassalage, the overlord can then choose to attack them after that again or let them go.
As a vassal :
- You cannot enter any other alliance than that of your overlord.
- You must accept a proposal of MA from your overlord.
- You are not allowed to start any wars without permission of your overlord
- You are *not* required to dow someone at the command of your
overlord, send him cash at his command or generally help your overlord if *he* is the agressor in a war.
- Before 1600, three provinces can be taken in a war.
- Before 1750, four provinces can be taken in a war.
- After 1750, six provinces can be taken in a war.
CoTs counts as two provinces.
TPs and colonies counts as zero.
14.You can only have a limited fleet outside Europe.
- 100 ships in the western hemisphere (Cape of Good Hole - Tahiti and Hawaii)
- 100 ships in the eastern hemisphere (Tahiti and Hawaii - Cape of Good Hope)
- You can have any desired amount of ships in Europe. (Iceland - Madeira - Palestine - Kola) This is Europe, any ships outside this area is counted towards your 100 ships. The European "borders" are not exact although I take it you understand what I mean
Allies obviously can have 200 ships combined in any of the theatres. They should, however, be allowed to also only have 100 warships in a Taskforce / fleet. So the maximum size of any given naval unit would be 100 warships, regardless of how many powers would be deploying ships in it.
15. The land/naval slider is locked at 5.
16. Using certain exploits is forbidden. See below for more details:
General rule: if you think something is an exploit, then it is likely that it is one. When in doubt ask the GM.
The following is forbidden. The list is probably not complete.
- Attacking an enemy fleet with pirates, as well as comparatively very small fleets, only made to inhibit loading/landing.
- Releasing one or more vassals during wartime, to hinder an enemy.
- Force-burning of manufactories, i.e. repeated move and halt orders to an army in a province with a manufactory.
- Using lag to your advantage. This includes (but is not limited to): Sending lag colonists, building lag fortresses, sending lag missionaries, using lag diplomats. (The exception is using lag diplomats to send cash).
- Declaring a 'fake' war on a country, with the aim to:
- Increase the stability of the nation you declare war on.
- Change the religion of a protestant or Counter-Reformed-Catholic nation back to Catholicism before the Edict of Tolerance.
- Exploiting Simultanity: Using the game engine to break a deal, that would occur simultaneously in the real word. This includes (but is not limited to) the 'sale' of something in game.
- Converting from Catholiscism to either Counter-reformed-Catholicism or
- Protestantism and then switching back to Catholiscism before the Edict of Tolerance.
- Trading maps with the AI.
- Sending loans to the AI.
- Signing a peace deal with the AI, that bankrupts it in the same day.
- Breaking a truce, except when the truce is a result of a province swap deal in game. You are not allowed to dow AI alliance members of someone you have a truce with.

- You will be allowed 2 random leaders each session.
- Lifespan will be 15-50 years with an average of 25 years.
- After 1550 you will be allowed to ask for a conquistador or an explorer, despite of this you will still only be allowed 2 random leaders per session.

Other Info
The game will be played on Thursday.
If you wish to join this game, please state your interest and the GMs will take it in to consideration.
The game will not start before Test of Skill has ended as some people do not have Thursdays free until after it has stopped should we decide to play on a Thursday.
We will let the nation picking begin when we have reached the desired amount of players, we will also increase/decrease the amount of countries you can choose from depending on how many players that shows interest.
No Asian nations will be played. The nation furthest to the east will be the Ottoman Empire.
Hamachi wont be allowed in this game.
