Had a crash at the event - heathens control banzatine - continue or give up the crusade ( england king of and was papal controller) some reason XP doesnt give the fatal message log but have had the same game hit the wall 3 times at this event

I'd love that savegame.
 
Fresh install,no save games.
Windows XP home SP2
1gb ram,CPU at 2.4ghz,ATI Radeon 9250 at 256mb.Latest drivers,Net frame 2.0

Ck 1.05 worked fine.When I bought DV I uninstalled CK and reinstalled this order;CK,DV,DV2.1b.
When trying to begin a new game I got a fatal error message.

Well o' mighty tech gods,what do we do to fix this?
 
Make sure you have at least installed the latest beta-patch, download it from here

As you can see, the game-developer himself (Johan) is working on the problem.

The problem is that not all players have these fatal errors, so it is hard to find out what is causing it on your PC
 
I have a weird crash bug, no Exception file it seems though.

I start seeing this in my notification window (cut from my history file)

then it crashes. seems to happen every time I load the save file. any ideas?

They really seem to hate Romny.

The times seem to be off though, I was playing the game today...
 
I have a repeatable CTD, though not always in the same manner. It might have something to do with my 14 king titles and 226 vassals (playing on an easier setting :) ).

1) Load up as Germany.
2) Pause game with pause key while the splash screen with the 'Start Game' on it is still up.
3) Hit the start game button.
4) Click on the leader head.
5) Click on the first Duke vassal portrait
6) Click on the liege portrait (not the main portrait that you clicked on in step 4. It won't crash if you don't click back to the king in the character screen).
7) Repeat steps 5,6 until it crashes.

Sometimes this happens within two repetitions, almost always within 4. I have had it go around 10 times once, but it always happened. I believe it happens when switching back and forth between the king and any vassal in any combination of vassals, but I did not test that extensively.

nice, thanks alot.. should be fixed in next.
 
Crash with the 6/02 beta patch:

I had two events in a row. One being an child education pop-up that I accidentally clicked an answer to since it appeared in the same spot as something I was clicking and then another event popped up. As I went to hit the pause button, the game crashed with:

I can't recall the second event that popped other than it wasn't an event that auto-pauses.
 
Memory leak?

Switching to and from the ledger repeatedly causes paging and crashes to desktop.

Newgame - paused - searching for nobles with unmarried eldest daughters by ordering the relations with other counties page (14?) by relationship then click on county, reopen ledger, click on county reopen ledger. After about 40 times game becomes unresponsive and crashed the first time, second time just unplayable until I quit and reloaded.

Playing on a laptop with 1.5gb of memory.
 
DV with the 6/02 beta patch. I have had this twice in 4 hours of owning DV.

I don't know where to find the log file.
 
I have just installed and tried to run the latest patch (2 of June) of Deus Vult, but to no avail, I still can't start scenarios. This was the problem I got as per the exceptions.log file:

I am using Windows XP on a laptop, 1.73GHz processor and 504 MB of RAM.
