Hi Guys I know it can be frustrating to wait on information you desperately want.

First I have to point out that you should not direct any hate or name calling to the Moderators.
Moderators take action based on the direction I give them, so any hate should be directed my way and not to them. Insults to staff will not be tolerated, if you absolutely need to use expletives and name call, then put it in a PM with my name on it.
Now to the issue of not allowing threads/posts on demands for a new DD. What purpose would be served in allowing 30 different threads like this one a day. The exact same posts by the same people. We already get that you want some DDs and we already get that you would like them right now, thus the whole reason for the ban on the topic (that the point was already made).

As to the issue of when new DDs will be released, that is not my purview, it is up to marketing, these guys and gals are the experts and experiance has shown them the best time and pacing to release this kind of info (your arm chair marketing advice while I am sure makes perfect sense to you, will probably not sway them, just being honest). The dates can also be dynamic due to being dependant on the aproval of certain milestones in the development process and release slots.

Some members stated that no reason has been given, but reasons have been given, you may not agree with those reasons, but they have been given. Also above it was complained that other releases had received more DDs than this game, including DLC releases. Well that is natural, this game has not been released yet and those have. I cannot tell you how many DDs this game will ultimately receive but at least compare apples to apples.

Summary:
A) Don't blame the Moderators.
B) We hear you.
C) We understand you want more information and you want it now.
D) These things happen on a dynamic schedule and we do not want to tell you one thing and not be able to deliver on the promise.

@ Castellon

Look at the bright side, reading posts by anxious members means there is interest in the game, would you have that as opposed to absolute silence and indifference to it.
my point is that all these threads are a good thing.

An occasional one, which is why I have allowed this thread. One thing members here tend to forget is that at any given time there are 3 times as many non-members reading the forums as members. When these people go to a sub forum and every thread is on the same topic which is unrelated to the actual subject matter (ie an administrative issue about the release schedule of new information) it tends to turn them off quickly. One of the reasons we in general do not allow discussion on staff actions as well, the casual user just does not care and does not want the info they came to find clutter with discussion of it.

Just a general note: Taking out parts of what I say and twisting them to imply what they don't really, does not work with me guys, I am not subject to trolling I do this professionally. :)

Clearly my point is that you do not know how many DDs will be made prior to EvW being release because it has not been released yet. So peoples claims that it is not getting the care it deserves is an assumption on their part.
In any case we try to be as honest as we can, we do not want to say a DD will be released on this particular date, since the ramification of then not being able to release it on that date are much worse.

And if you don't think people will throw a flaming torch about you claiming a feature in a DD that is not in release, well I really don't know what to say about that, clearly your memory for game release day threads differs significantly from mine. :)

I think you are misreading what I wrote if you feel they are not consistent.

For last part, no arrogance, I honestly was kind of flabbergasted that you do not think people will complain about missing features. In the very post that mentions it there is a complaint about missing features from another game and about how the public was mislead.

I'm afrais the next announcement will be about the cancellation of the game like it happened with Magna Mundi.

Not the same situation at all. That is all that will be said on that topic.
This is about EvW and not MMtG.

Guys I just mentioned above not to derail this thread by talking about MM.

Really we don't care? Really? The hyperbole of these comments is pretty unbelievable even for the internet. :)
We are acting in the best interest of the game and therefore our members who will buy it.
That you may feel you know how to publish games better than the publishing Department and or market games better than the marketing department does not mean that we do not care.

I can only refer you to the rest of thread where we have gone over these issues before.

I am talking about the part where he is comparing EUIV to EvW in terms of how many DDs they have received for example as well as the release schedule.

And I did not say "the marketing Department is doing their best" (As in implying it is not good enough), the Marketing department feels they know best, and as such will release information as and when they decide it is best for the game to succeed. We/I/Me/Paradox/Marketing all get that some members of the forum disagree with how we are proceeding, never the less we feel it is the prudent course to follow and so will continue to do so.

The lack of dev diaries is in fact a clever satire on the availability of accurate information in the Eastern Bloc during the cold war era.

It’s really immersive actually. You’ll get a big announcement, then you’ll get nothing for ages, then you’ll get some unrelated statistics on tractor production, then if you make a criticism you will be shot.

Don't worry we have a 5/7 year plan. :D
