A release date is one thing. Information flow is sth completely different. Personally, I don't want EvW to be rushed at all and if I have to choose between an unpolished game that comes out earlier and a polished game that comes out later, then, well, it's a kind of no-brainer.

However, I would certainly want to know more about the game and the forum is full of unanswered questions. The last DD was released in May. It's outside of the devs' control, I get. It would be nice if we saw some activity, though. I don't know, maybe a Q&A session? The devs could start gathering questions now, pick the ones they want to answer and post their responses when they are permitted to do so. At the very least, the community would feel involved...

I am looking forward to this game since I am a big Cold War fan.

But honestly... if it vanished into a black hole for 2 years and then came out I would not get worked up about it. If the content was changed before release then again I would not get worked up about it.

Developing a game is more of an art then a science, engaging with the community is cool but its not essential to the finished product. We are all entitled to reading reviews and deciding if we want the game when the time comes. If the development hit a snag, I say leave them to work on it and take a breather.

I hope it comes out and I hope that its great, no amount of dev feedback will guarantee me either. :)

I think that DDs make far more people preorder because people does not like to put in their money in some project which has not released much information. I know I won't preorder unless I know enough about before the time comes. The person that claims that EvW is rushed should rethink their statement because I remember the reason why we are not playing EvW yet, it is because of marketing team does not want to release the game before Christmas hence it has been delayed to Q1 2014. I have also promised myself that I will not buy EvW (maybe during a sale) if another delay occurs because it looked more than playable during the stream as well. TW rome 2 does not have anything to do with EvW regardless of what some people may think.

But the concept applies here. Rush EvW and gripe about the broken features and bugs, or wait for them to be resolved and gripe about the wait.

Nobody is rushing for a game release, we are rushing for Developement Diaries and informations on the actual game progresses.

It seems like the East Vs West dev team just wants to be careful and not overstep themselves. Plus, did anyone see that article from a while back were Fredrik said they don't want to be release games that are still in a beta state? I can see that coming into the reservations of the EVW theme as well.

I have no problem with the late release date, i´m just annoyed that we don´t see any information

I'm afrais the next announcement will be about the cancellation of the game like it happened with Magna Mundi.

Not the same situation at all. That is all that will be said on that topic.
This is about EvW and not MMtG.

Stop being so negative, we are not seeing another MM here. The game looked awesome in the stream and remember that these people have already created a game, arsenal of democracy so I fully trust them. The only problem is the lack of information, but I am hoping for an increased amount of information coming soon.

And I'm hoping for a couple million dollars to fall out of the sky some time soon.

Guys I just mentioned above not to derail this thread by talking about MM.

Still no new DD's on the horizon, seem that nobody really cares about this games uh?

Really we don't care? Really? The hyperbole of these comments is pretty unbelievable even for the internet. :)
We are acting in the best interest of the game and therefore our members who will buy it.
That you may feel you know how to publish games better than the publishing Department and or market games better than the marketing department does not mean that we do not care.

OK, maybe a small correction. The information policy of PI makes us fell that you don´t care.
