Sorry Guys I have to give it the thumbs down. I down loaded the patch and played a game. I unistalled the game inside half an hour. Not for the country events they where very good, but the negative random events are too goddammned fierce. I got shafted by the random event system. I don't find that fun. Sorry Guys, I am really impressed by the country events but it is not for me.

I agree that some random events seem to make little sense. But the country events are good, for the most part. It would be very easy to block the random events from loading while leaving the country events. All you need to do is comment out the line in the event database that includes the random events.

I have loaded the EEP 1.1a, but not started campaign with it yet.
However I have noticed a few things

  1. County of Holland seems to be a country but is not playable?
  2. Burgundy is not in the V1.05 colour (I have Ubisoft English). Other countries are, e.g. Hungary.
  3. Since I installed EEP I seem to be getting more CTDs at the surrender screen again. 1.05 seemed to have pretty much stopped this.
    [/list=1]
    Any thoughts?

1. County of Holland may be a revolter?
2. no idea
3. What is so bad about crashing at the surrender screen. You don't lose any information. Might just be a coinkidink.:D

About the CTDs on the surrender screen: In my experience they are generally a result of something(TM) being wrong in the scenario. It can be e.g. ID conflicts or faulty events...

Thanks, Phillip V

1. County of Holland is there at start of campaign. EEP ReadMe says it is a new country. Also has its own new flag (red lion on yellow background). So assumed it was meant to be a playable new country. (Noticed because I'm playing C of H in MKJ's GC3 scenario.) Maybe revolter is how it is set up, so can't be played, but would like to know for sure?

3.Sorry, my mistake. Meant to say crashes/freezes, not just CTD, so I have to reboot PC.:( But doesn't happen every time.:)

Also thanks, Havard

I assume that is problems in the scenario actually being played, not just any one available? I think this has been happening when leaving MKJ's scenario that I started before loading EEP. I'll try a few experiments with others.

If it's there from the start if you run the scenario it could be that it isn't added to the list of playable countries... try chacking that in the scenario file (open in a text editor, look for 'selectable = { *list here*}' to see if U10 is listed).

Does this happend only with the EEP of with other (official) scenarios too?

Wrong settings my friend. It's not full serfdom and high aristocracy anymore, has to be more balanced in your DP settings.

So if you start in a country with high Aristocracy and Serfodom (just about everybody in 1419) you get screwed. That is just brilliant, whos idea was that?

I looked in EEP directory and couldn't find .eug file like the one in standard game scenario directory with list of countries.

Not sure now. Maybe only with MJK Scenario. Will have to check. I hate investigating "random" faults:(

Who does? :(

Thanks. Couldn't see the wood for the trees!
Added U10 and now can select and start play with C of H :)
Noticed that the three other new countries mentioned in EEP ReadMe are also not in the .eug file as playable.
I guess someone will log these as things to be fixed in next version of EEP?

Thanks again and Goodnight:)

troubling matters:

1. as soon as i annex france as england, the game crashes. i think this has to do with too many events being triggered at once.

2. 1 January 1434, a COT has spontaneously appeared in Anglia. I think COT placement needs to be reworked.

That's weird, but it has nothing to do with current setup, the changes only took place on the other side of the map.

It's fully playable from the start, and it's in EEP_GC.eug or EEP_GC_BYZ.eug file. The file is in your standard scenario directory, not in the EEP.

If for some reason it's not, add U10 to the list of playable countries. Sorry, if I missed it.

No, you don't. That's real life. If you get +200 ducats for being at high aristocracy, shouldn't you also get smth nasty?

As an opinion here, I don't think 200 ducats quite equals the negative effects. I managed to have +9% revolt risk through random events. Btw this was after stabilty, religion, manufacturies and the fact that it was my capatol province, taken into effect. I was full stab, not at war and maxed tollerance my state religion. Basically in the random events killed me. If it was my choice I would tell them to keep their 200 ducats cuase I don't want the down side.

um is it a bug that always throws me back too the desktop evrytime the reformation(sp?) happens? i get too play too 2 january 1518, did the world die that day?

I should maybe mention that the 1.1a is available (same place).

Changes: Corrected and updated some Hannoverian events, and fantasy events/monarchs/leaders for Wales.

Oh, and 200 downloads in two days! :)

Yeah, sorry about that. Should have been 201, but I had to finish my 1.04 EEP 1.0 BYZ game first. In the end I didn't finish it, I stopped when all the events had triggered.
So now I'm all set with 1.05-1.1!

And I've found a possible bug.
The "Inheritence of Athens"-event didn't happen.
When I checked it I didn't notice any date in the event, in the "desc" the year 1435 is mentioned but that's it...I think.
I have of course dated the event now so if that was the error it should work, but as of now I can't confirm it.

"I'll be back..."
