I'm getting a consistent CTD immediately after China annexes Korea. The date doesn't seem to matter - if I remove the Chinese vassalization of Korea, they eventual re-vassalize and a few years later annex again, followed a second later by the crash.

Another problem with China: the first option in event 10026 (The End of the Ming Dynasty) triggers a non-existent Event 10027, so a crash occurs when that option is chosen. Where should it be pointing to instead of 10027?

KSH?

Its description is "Obsolete tag." Yet, it still has active events in event database. Am I missing something?

Hmmm just a thought but would it be possible to have another thread to run as an adjunct to this that gives instructions on how to fix the problems found in 1.4.2?

A nice simple format like :

OPEN {filename/s}
FIND {text}
EDIT/DELETE/REPLACE {text} - depending on circumstances

It'd make keeping EEP up to date & bug free a bit easier...

This is a good idea and I'll try to do something like it when I start listing the bugs. It will probably include the file at least, but you'll need to know your way around EU files to be able to do all fixes for yourself.

The event in which Ferdinand has to decide where to set his capital popped while I was playing Italy (formerly Milan).

It didn't look like giving any real problem but it sounds a bit strange.

That sounds very strange. I can see no error in that event and the whole file is parsed alright... Might it be one of thoses things you can experience after a tag change? Have you reloaded since then?

A couple minor glitches. It gave me Italian leaders, so it gave me Sforza again when I already had him in my armies. So I had 2 Sforzas. Easily solved by not splitting that army, but still potential for abuse. Also, the Ambrosian Republic happened to me as Italy. Is that supposed to? I had to manually trigger the event to turn off the revolt risk because it didn't fire.

Otherwise, great job! A whole lot of fun and I don't feel like a cheater for being King of Italy. :D

Great you like it :D
You should really not get the Ambrosian Republic as Milan. Did you save and reload after becoming Italy?

I reloaded as Italy after formation.

I confirm the super great job you guys did on the KOI process:)

Excellent...

To illustrate what I mean I'll use an example from earlier in the thread :

OPEN : EEP/db/Events/eep_u19.txt
FIND : id = 322005
REPLACE : trigger = { owned = { 374 data = -1 }}
WITH : trigger = { owned = { province = 374 data = -1 }}

That should make updating easier...

Nice work on this one! Noticed a few things so far:

- The Hungarian monarchs have to be adjusted for the 1520 scenario, like you did with the Bohemian ones.

- (This one is mine :eek:o)The last Hercegovinian monarch needs an ID.

- In some of the AI files, namely in barbary.ai and kazan.ai, the flag statement is misused. Eg.: flags = ( AST = yes } should be flags = { AST = yes }

Isn't this related to (or just that, precisely) what Sheridan posted earlier in this thread? Sure seemed like it to me....

In any event, thanks for this thread guys. Will be busy making all these corrections in my own copy:D

You get a crash because this option makes Manchu inherit China. There ought to be a (End Game) in the text for option A.

EDIT: The event is in Paradox GC.

1.07b, 1.4.2, Austria
It happens no matter what I do.
Have you tried to play past that year as another nation? If it works you could save and go on as Austria.

Several (but not all) versions of the Austrian capital-moving event in 1493 are missing the country code, and will thus appear no matter what country the human is playing. If you're not playing Austria, this event is totally meaningless. (It doesn't even impose whatever choice you make on Austria, or give it any of the benefits thereof.)

Yup - got it as Genoa. As a whim I chose the option that cost 200d and it took a loan for me :rolleyes: wasn't that nice...

BTW how do you form Italy? *edit* Oh OK I found that info in another thread :)

CTD on annexetion of Korea

I read something about CTD on China annexing Korea.
I exeprienced the same problem with Manchu annexing Korea.

Year is 1680 and something. I'm still playing Italy (formerly Milan) with 1.4.2 on plain 1.07.

I also had no loads several times and I had to get back to relatively old saves.

Could you please look into what provinces Korea owns (reading a save file), it might be that they own one province also owned by someone else, and that you get a CTD when the annexing nation tries to take control of all of Koreas provinces. We had a bug like this before, known as the "Kerch bug".

Unfortunately KOR own only province 641 which (in the autosave now not loadable) is neither owned nor controlled by anybody else, being national for KOR and NIP.
