Just a heads up to anyone installing the EEP zip, the only event that needs to be commented out (if you use the replacement major_xxx.txt files) is the one for England. It took me a while to figure out why I was getting DB errors when loading ...

The formatting of the text for some of the events is a bit screwey, too, with random line breaks in the middle of sentences. Nothing major, just a bit jarring to see.

I was going to complain about being forced to take out loans to ransom my stupid Czar who went and got himself captured by the Tartars (I like having an option, even if it's not a good choice), but those forced payments were the only things to slow me down. I was playing on Hard/Aggressive, and with all the leaders Muscovy gets, I just rolled over everyone, especially after improving Quality a bit. How many of the leaders are new?

Everything seems to be working well (up through 1527, at least).

Hehe, but it's hard to figure the width of the box right, apparently it's using the proportional fonts. I'll fix for v.1.2.

One thing: Change the trigger on event 40027 from 16029 to 40026. I've sent you the updated zip, but that's pretty much what you have to do. Sorry, didn't notice right away :(

All Moscow leaders came with 1.02 I think, I just moved one from Russian leader file.

So, my take, you're playing as Russia now. Wait, you might get more bad stuff later on....;)

Vasili II was indeed captured by Mahmudek - and Muscovy had to pay close to 2,000,000 roubles to rescue him. Besides, this event is a trigger for another one - to slow Muscovy down, like it should.

Let me know if you notice any bugs or inconsistencies.

Preview of EEP East_Europe v.1.2

Things I'm planning to implement in v.1.2 in addition to any bug fixes that you might notice:

1. Corrections to DP sliders as proposed by Tanone;

2. Russian and Lithuanian events on cessation of Tula. Both Russia and Lithuania will have the options to decline (Tanone, Solmyr);

3. Saga of Ulugh Muhammad and cessation of Khanate of Kazan;

4. Civil war and cessation of Khanates of Crimea and Astrakhan - Disintegration of Golden Horde - re-doing the existing event;

5. Adjust the religion and culture in Golden Horde provinces;

6. Add leader files to Lithuania, Golden Horde, Kazan and Crimea;

7. Possibly Time of Troubles - have to think how to implement.

That's all for now.

Comments and ideas are welcome. Help is appreciated.

Does anyone know if the ability to remove CoTs will be in 1.03? It seems a bit silly to have the Moscow CoT sitting next to the Novgorod CoT. Ah, well, what can you do.

Do you have to implement the Oprichnina now? Just curious.

Yes, I'm cruising along as Russia now, having just won (against all odds) a war Lithuania started with me, which wasn't going all that well. They refused to give me two minor provinces for 3 years, then turned around and offered me 4 provinces as I ran out of armies.

It will not.

Too bad :( If we can add things, why can't we remove them???

Anyway, driftwood, I added a cot to Moscow to portray the decline of Novgorod. It doesn't look that bad. To fix it even further we'll need a cot in Stockholm, so Novgorod will be reduced greatly.

Oprichnina is optional now. It only triggers if certain conditions are met, if not then nothing happens. If it does, there is an event abolishing it. Granted, they can both happen on the same day, which is silly, but hey, that's the limitation ;)

Enjoy, and again comments are welcome.

Too bad. We should have option to relocate COTs. They was not so stable as hey shown in the game.
Novgorodian COT should be removed for sure after Sack of Novgorod it moves to Moscow or Arkhangelsk. COT should appear in Astrakhan. Later COT should move to St.Peterburgh.

And its good idea to add option of changing AI files for country.

The Scenario couldnt finish loading after adding some of the new events, Ive put the info in the text file and added the events to the events, am I missing something?

As far as I can tell the event files are set up right, copied new majors over old, transfered english info, added eep txt to events txt, yet it still wont get past reading scenario. I can add info to text file and game still loads but when actual events are added it never gets to initializing scenario

And the event for the cration of COT at Moscow needs to have an event putting it to sleep if Novgorod is the nation becoming Russia, doesnt make sense to put oneself out of buisness

Good point. I'll chnage that. Thanks.

Did you change the trigger on event 40027 from 16029 to 40026? I don't know if Solmyr uploaded the latest version. Try Ctr-Alt-Del or Enter at the screen, it might tell you what the problem is. It might be the conflict between leader IDs, if you added any new ones.
I don't know. Mine loads up fine.

Some comments on EEP beta 2 Russian-related stuff.

First, all Russian states should have knowledge of the following provinces:
1609 1610 1611 1612 1613 843

These are Schwyz, Kastamonu, various sea zones around Rhodes, and the White Sea. Right now, only Ryazan and Suzdal know of these, but it makes no sense that Muscovy, Novgorod, and others shouldn't.

Also, I think that in the formation of Russia events, the second choice (don't form Russia) should be removed. A human player will never select it, and do you really want the AI to castrate itself by choosing not to form Russia? It is my philosophy that events with multiple choices should have something beneficial in each of those, unless the completely disastrous choice is a historical one.

Muscovy should have a RM with Lithuania expiring October 27, 1430. This is to simulate family relations during the rule of Vytautas and their worsening after his death and the rise of Svitrigaila.

Muscovy and Russia AI files should include them going after LIT, POL, SWE, LAT, CRI, and possibly TUR, PRU, and KUR. Otherwise Russia never tries to conquer anything in the west.

Finally, Ukraine should not revolt until about 1500, when the first Cossacks were formed. In fact, there should probably be an event seceding some provinces from Lithuania and Golden Horde to form Ukraine around 1500.

I'll post my additional suggested events next.
