I have just noticed that my events for the French minors haven't been included in the EEP zip. I think the remainder of the England conquers France set of events should work without them, but I am not sure. Did I add the wrong attatchment or something?

Lambert Simnel,

I've got 3 English files from you, there was one event for France, and one event for FPR. The rest were for England. I haven't noticed anything referring to different events other than in those 3 files. Send them to me, I'll include them in v0.2

I have looked at the other files and the first three files should work without them. I have sent you five more event files, holler if they don't all arrive.

May I suggest that instead of commenting out England's Hume and Smith events, that they should be made conditional on having had the Act of Union.

Afghanistan

After reading through them, i realized i'll haveto redo my Afghan event and add the nessasary monarchs and leaders to the file also. This was my first attempt at an event which was why it was lacking.

The English Hume & Smith events (which are conditional on the Scottish Hume & Smith ev events not having occurred) are located in eep_eng.txt, as the first two of my events. I hadn't thought about making them also conditional on the Act of Union event. The basic idea was that the English would only get the events if Scotland didn't exist (since the Scottish versions would obviously only occur if Scotland existed).

Would it be a major pain to find out what changes were made to revolt.txt? I just finished making all the changes Lambert Simnel suggested, then noticed the revolt.txt in the EEP zip (yes, I'm just installing it now :)). Are new revolters added, existing ones modified, or both?

Actually,

if you can wait a day, I'll be posting an updated version some time tomorrow. I found a few minor inconsistencies, mostly introduced with patch 1.03, which I didn't have much time to discover. Basically, I changed the enddate on revolts for all Russian principlaties and Khanates to 1600, and added a few more provinces to min requirements.

Actually, it prompts a question: should we just concentrate on events, or also scenario modifications? I personally prefer the latter, since some events are actually tied to the new conditions.

Also, there gonna be more events in release 0.2.

Well, since the EGC seems to be inert, I vote for scenario modification. Sounds like people had alot of legitimate gripes about 1419...

Since we're going to make some portions optional, could we start bundling in other popular mods for testing, like SoapyFrog's revised combat charts, random leader names that didn't make it into the patch, etc.? (Some of these things were slated for inclusion in the EGC).

[I realize that's alot of stuff, so no need to do it all at once, should we decide to do it.]

Oh, and a note of thanks to Crook for putting in the time to coordinate all this.

What if you want to change province.csv in addition to the setups? A couple of things I've been trying in North America (cutting most of the native provinces down to TP status) require changing the native levels in some provinces. Otherwise the natives get destroyed by native unrest.

Also, has anyone been working on changing the 1492 scenario? I know a number of people still prefer to start then, and there are some really big errors.

I agree that we should consider scenario modifications & modifications to any game file, since it is inevitable that some of the new & edited events will require new monarchs, leaders, etc. And cudos to Crook for taking the lead on this.
