How? I don't want to play without autosave. The game is so intensive i forget to save. :D
I guess i have to sacrifice a goat to the god of modders.

I am not doing anything special. I checked and I was actually playing with autosave on but also saving every two or three years. At the end there was a total of 184MB of save games files in the directory. My system is an i7 950 with 6G of RAM, Vista 64bit version.

I know what you mean by intensive, its the alliance spam, it makes you feel like you are in a mass brawl, no time to breath or take stock. :) Maybe you could set a recurring alarm.

I have AMD Athlon II 64bit X4 at 3GHZ and 6GB RAM on Windows 7.
I've tried changing affinity and priority and other magic tricks.

Edit: What was written here, (i.e an error) has been solved.......sorry for not evaluating all options before posting a comment and cluttering this thread.
