I am the emperor and Aachen annexed 3 provinces from Trier, which I do not like.

I would like them to give all back, maybe even everything they have, which would be 4 provinces, or they should give provinces to me even.

What exactly would be possible with the "imperial liberation" CB?
Can I only demand the 1 province that has the modifier "unlawful territory", but the other 2 annexed provinces will remain with Aachen, or can I make them give all 3 back?
Also, can I demand additionally something for myself?
also, can I demand them to give their Capital Aachen to Trier additionally, even if Aachen will cease to exist?

In the last 6 games I've played in the last 4 months, Castile has managed to get the Burgundian inheritance 2 or 3 times. I have never seen this before in my 2000 hours of EU4. Was there some changes made to the code to increase the odds of Castile???.... In the last one, Austria was normal size and the Emperor....

In my current game both Poland and Castille said no to the union, while Sweden never broke free from Denmark and are soon to be integrated

It's not determine if someone is co-belli or not, but with what CB you declare. Like if you declare with an humilation or trade wars CB, you can't. But if you declare a conquest, imperialism. you can.

So, could I use the "Imperial Liberation" CB to make them give back more provinces than 1 ?

nope, the chances has never been changed.

Yes and no. Originally Castile had a very low chance to get the BI because they could only do so with a RM AND a weak emperor. That was changed a while back to give Castile a flat chance to get it no matter what condition exist.

As long as the province war scores aren't too high, yes (and yes, you can take lawful territory as well).

Trier has cores in Koblenz, Trier and Aachen.
Why can I only make Aachen give back the cores of Trier and Koblenz, but not the one of Aachen?

To take any land from a secondary participant in a war it must be occupied by you or the nation you are giving it to.

Cuz it's Aachen's capital. You can't give away someone capital.

In a peace deal you absolutely can, you can't threaten war for it.

Does it make any difference, if
a) France has no heir and gets my noble on their throne (and i can later claim their throne)
or
b) France gets a new heir, who has a weak claim (and also i can later claim their throne because of RM)
?
option b doesn't change his dynasty so you can't claim the throne. You can only claim the throne if you have the same dynasty.

Errr... he was trying to return core, not take it for himself.

Hey I'm playing as France and I'm about to start colonizing. Which new world trade node connects to Bordeaux, what areas do I have to explore to get to it? Thanks

There are only three nodes that connects to bordeaux; Gulf of St. Lawrance (Canada one), Caribbean and ivory coast (Africa). But as France you better of going to control English channel and/or Genoa node as they are both end nodes.

b would be ideal, IF they had your dynasty. It means you can safely break Alliance and claim throne/force PU without truce break. why? cause your claim on throne doesn't vanish until the weak claim heir takes throne and produces strong claim heir. that can take decades.

How in the motherf*ck can the AI cross the strait between Drinápoly and Karasi (sorry, can't be bothered to look up the English province names), if I control both provinces, and currently park 91 ships at the Sea of Marmara?

Whenever I pick up this game, I keep getting disappointing by the nonsense warfare mechanics.

edit: oh, and then this happened, for the second time in two wars:
