I am allowed to change to Sunni and back to Ibadi during my third way achievement run?
Yes. It only matters that you start as an Ibadi nation and are ibadi at the moment you get the achievement. You can do anything inbetween(except playing as a released vassal, because that is explicitly forbidden). Are you planning on using Ibadi rebels to convert your provinces?I am allowed to change to Sunni and back to Ibadi during my third way achievement run?
No, I try to start as Pate -> form Hausa -> change to Sunni -> form Sokoto (requires Sunni + Sunni dominant religion) - > change back to Ibadi. Hope to achieve dominant religion by mass spamming Sunni TC.Yes. It only matters that you start as an Ibadi nation and are ibadi at the moment you get the achievement. what do you mean by that? Just conquering Sunni provinces? That can easily make sunni the dominant religion(it just needs to be the religion with the highest dev in your country). The way back is more difficult, because there are almost no ibadi provinces which you could conquer so you probably need rebels for thatHope to achieve dominant religion by mass spamming Sunni TC.
TC to keep my country stable up to converting to Sunni. Was thinking to flip both ways by rebels and keep Sunni only a very short time... always keeping it close to 50/50what do you mean by that? Is Hausa formable if you don't start as one of the Hausan tags in the area? There's no dedicated wiki page, you should check the game files to find out.No, I try to start as Pate -> form Hausa -> change to Sunni -> form Sokoto (requires Sunni + Sunni dominant religion) - > change back to Ibadi. I know for certain that, if you switch from monarchy to an electoral system (eg. Republic, States General) then your monarch is immediately removed and an election occurs.
However, I'm not sure about theocracies. All I can suggest is that you save (and back up your save if you're in ironman) and try it out.
I think the cap has been removed. At least, I can't see any reference to a cap on the wiki, and I personally have saved 300-400 points over the limit at times.
Are you using a reconquest war on behalf of your vassal? That is the important part for the AE. If return core or cede province gives depends on the situation and I don't know if anybody has figured out how it is calculated exactly. So I'm still on my pre-leviathan tutorial game, and a friend pointed out im not doing the vassal feeding right. I tend to release a vassal, use his claims to wage war, and then cede provinces to them in the peacedeal, but apparently you need to "return cores" to minimise AE? Or is there something else that I'm missing?
if you release a country from your provinces, they will get all provinces which say "x considered this to be a core province" in the province window. Or do you mean that they later acquired claims on provinces? claims can be acquired by fabricating them or through missions, but they are not cores. But additional question, how can you see which vassals will have which cores? For example, I released Syria, which has now cores on 8 provinces in the area, but how could I have known they would get specificly those? On the province tab there were only 2 marked as "syria considered this to be a core province"
Turns out you retain your ruler when making the switch to a theocracy. Shame as that was the last decent ruler since switching. Not sure if it's RNG or something programmed in for theocracies but all of my heirs have been trash. As in 5 to 7 total points bad for 3 straight rulers.
That and not being able to get through the govt reforms has been a bit of a bummer. Was wanting to try out the great holy war CB but looks like I won't be able to reach that final tier in time. Guess I can't blob too much and still generate the reform points fast enough.
If you acquire provinces through conquest or annexation/integration, your crownland moves towards the Crownland EquilibriumWhy do I keep losing Crown Land?
Maybe crown land equilibrium is acting against you? The formula there looks pretty complicated, but the behaviour you describe seems possible if your equilibrium is well below 50%.Why do I keep losing Crown Land?
Sorry for not being able to go into more detail, but that's really the only thing I can observe.
I don't pick events where I'd lose it, I don't sell land, I regularly seize land, but I can't stay above 50% crown land. It keeps dropping and dropping.
I am expanding fast. Is that the reason?

ah crap, I totally misunderstood how that worked.Maybe crown land equilibrium is acting against you? The formula there looks pretty complicated, but the behaviour you describe seems possible if your equilibrium is well below 50%.

I dont think I saw those options when I declared my various wars. but 'll double check in future. When do you get a reconquest CB?
What I mean is that I checked various provinces before I made the vassals, but only like 2 had the "syria considers this as a core province". But when i released them, they suddenly had 8
FYI, Theocracy heirs are incredibly savescummable, if you're into that kind of thing. (Chances are, one of the 6 possible options will be good enough. And I think that heir stats should be visible to the player if you have a choice like this, so I don't think savescumming is a bad thing.)
Yeah, Great Holy War seems to take quite a long time. You'll probably unlock it a few decades before imperialism, which kinda sucks.
The only thing you can do to speed it up is keep autonomy in every province as low as possible. And avoid "expanding administration" for governing capacity. And, perhaps, conquer and upgrade the Great Projects that give reform points (Venice & Naples).
Are you playing with the Art of War DLC? It is needed to make use of the CBs of your subjects. Ideally you conquer one province which has a core of a dead country, release that country as a vassal and then use the reconquest CB to conquer their cores back for them. Then you get a significant AE discount for the provinces.I dont think I saw those options when I declared my various wars. but 'll double check in future. When do you get a reconquest CB?
If you have a new enough game version(not sure if it was added in 1.31 or 1.32), you can move your mouse over that core and all other cores of that country will be highlighted on the map. What I mean is that I checked various provinces before I made the vassals, but only like 2 had the "syria considers this as a core province"
Yes, all dlc except Leviathan. I am however on 1.30.6, so that might explain it.Are you playing with the Art of War DLC? It is needed to make use of the CBs of your subjects.
