Have a question to the devs: HOW? How can someone possibly conceive an idea so bad that I can't even wrap my mind about it?? Not only someone think of something so redardedly tedious and counterintuitive but also actually made it happen. The mission description says that that the goal is to get yourself to the stone circle across the map. This concept is further reinforced by the green arrow pointing at at the circle and the fact that it's being guarded by a biggish army with a hero unit. Imagine my surprise when after finally defeating them NOTHING HAPPENS. "Hmm"- I thought. "Perhaps I should capture the last victory point that I missed." Nope, the evil genius of Neocore will not let it be so easy. "Perhaps than I should kill the remaining enemies, that are scattered here and there?" - as you see I am grasping at straws here, since nowhere at all was it even hinted or implied that this was the goal. Apparently that's not it either, guess again!. So here I am, sitting on this god damned empty map with no idea what am I supposed to be doing AND I CAN'T EVEN SAVE THE GAME after wasting 3 hours on this POS. Thank you, Neocore.

First of all, we'd like to apologize as it seems you have encountered a bug in the game. Therefore, we fully understand that you are upset. But you are the first to report this problem and we would be very happy if you could help us track down the problem.

The mission should normally end if you have killed all your enemies (remember: some of them might hide in forests!). Also, the mission should end if you go near the Stone circle (or rather go to the green arrows) - but only if all enemies are killed around the Stone circle (even those who are hiding in the forest).

Could you please check that by going right upon the green arrows and if the battle is not won, please check the nearby forest for enemies (they should attack automatically though). And please write up here what happened.

Thank you for your help.

Sorry for the way I put it, but it should be an indication of just how frustrating this mission is. Maybe I'll try the mission again but if the hidden units are archers they will automatically stay out of my detection range since seelie archers have greater range than my units. So how am I supposed to go about it? Chase an invisible enemy until the edge of the map where they can't run away anymore? While being interrupted by dawn which spawns more archers? I am not trying to be snarky, just trying to understand how is that even possible.

The expansion is awful. I am writing review for a local PC games magazine and told in conclusion to stay away from it.
1. The awful camera. Did I said awful? Well, I did say so simply because I can not find a stronger word. On a flat terrain it somewhat ok but on elevated terrain it is PITA.
2. So called "text quests" are a joke. The devs were very careful to make them for 3 years old kids - just click on all available links till you collect all the available goodies.
3. Every battle starts with entirely new troops and companions and does not depend on the outcome of the previous battle. This totally kills both the strategy and tactics element - throw all in the fray (who cares what happens with them) and use you hero for final killing.

I'm having the same problem with this campaign. I've taken care of all the nearby enemies at the stone circle and it simply won't 'let me in' so to speak, nothing happens. At the same time Drest the Chosen is constantly losing hitpoints and for the life of me I can't tell why. He just keeps slowly dying.

Well I'm trying do a let's play on the game but I can't get past this level. First off what triggers them to come out of the forest? I can't just detect them, and secondly how many of them are there?

To bring up the cheat console hit: Ctrl+Shift+1
Start typing: WinBattle (after typing the first 2 letters, it will automatically turn int WinBattle), hit SPACE and then Enter

So if you're stuck at the end you can use this cheat code, and you will get the experience you gathered during the battle.

Just to provide a different point of view. I had the same concern with the camera, but its really only in the 1st mission that the limitations are felt. After playing the first mission a number of times, the distance limitation that the camera can go from the unit selection actually makes the game more RPGish, in that you cant see too far ahead.

Did you also know that there are a couple of different camera modes you can select in options? Perhaps a different mode will better suit your style of play.

While I agree the text adventures arent the games strong point, they do enough of a job of conveying the setting for the forthcoming battle. Isnt that all they are supposed to do? I do agree though that Id like to have seen more stringent choices available, so that if a play chose the wrong option they have an almost impossible battle to face (lack of allies) or potential allies would start against you. Or possibly items could be gained before a battle.

It would have been great to get a campaign feel of having to manage your characters army through every scenario. For me I would have preferred the campaigns ten missions be about once character and have real army mgmt across those missions. However, it probably would not have been possible to get an idea of the story that joins KA 1 to the sequel.... that Im just guessing at!
