In 1.03, you can change upgrade paths, so a light armoured division can be upgraded to the latest medium armored division.

Thank you AC. That is an excellent addition to the game, much appreciated.

However on the same lines, what happens to the production queue for that type of division? If you are producing Light Armoured Divisions and have set the queue to automatically upgrade, does it upgrade to Medium Armour when that is available, or does it wait for the next Light Armour upgrade which is much later in the game?

I wish I could ask this question in the technical section but sadly I have no way to post there as I have not yet registred my game. Have any of you guys had trouble finding there CD key for Darkest Hour after they purchased it on steam? Do I have to contact steam as the sales person or Paradox as the publisher?
Thx lads

What are the differences between the various types of troopship? Does it make transporting troops less disruptive than it otherwise is as it seems like its more of a penalty for a unit to move from one province to another currently by ship than it is to amphibious assault?

I think that this is an universal question for HoI2. Does anyone know if "upgrades" are counted as specific items in the database as with the production or are they algorithms? What happens if I "upgrade" for a month an army and an airforce and then suddenly decide that I do not need by airforce upgraded? Will all the upgrading cost I spent to date be turned into upgrades for the army then or will a part of it be eternally tied to my airforce?

Some units will have for example upgrade set to a certain percentage, like 58.6%. If you give 0 IC to upgrades it will stop. If you resume giving IC to updates, the percentage of upgrade will rise from where it was.
So no investment is lost.

EDIT: if you start upgrading a division to a certain degree (like 58.6%) and then you set that division to "Not upgrade" FOREVER then yes, it's a bad investment. As soon as you remove the "Not upgrade" condition, it will resume upgrading from where it was left.

Hi, I was just wondering if infantry divisions were still the most efficient type as they were in vanilla HOI2 or if there is now greater variety for use of other division types.
Thanks for the great game! :)
