No.. I guess i haven´t explained it very well, I am sorry for that,
it suddenly locks, the mouse ´´jumps´´ from one place to the other of the screen, slowly, and after some time it usually gets to totally stop answering, it is not like the speed decreases slowly. i may be wrong, but I think it is a similar problem... pardon me if I am not very expecific but it is hard to describe this problem.

The thing is if the system "locks" that means it is not and will not respond. Therefore it would be impossible for you to save the game etc. Also I have not heard of this problem powering down the PC.

You may have a bad mother board or need your operating system reinstalled. Have you run a virus check?

Yep, I´ve virus-checked many times already since then, and nothing. I have already formatted teh ahrd disk once, and my friend rned a test on it and said it was ok. I then reinstalled winXP via a .ghost file I had saved for situations like this , and the computer still had that failure...

Well you can try and eliminate things one by one.
If you can borrow another video card you can swap them and see if it makes a difference, the same for sound card.

If the problem persists you can then elliminate those, at that point you would have to look at the power supply and the motherboard.

Ah, I having the same problem with my AMD...just made a thread about it before I saw this.

It's an AMD 2400 1.8 ghz iirc, 512 ddr ram, 32mb graphics etc etc, very similar to a setup towards the top of the thread.

But mine keeps crashing on Dec 13. What event happens on Dec 13, 1941?

Lets keep yours seperate since you have started a new thread already.
