Did you try the latest 'optional' AMD driver I mentioned above?
I recently reset my PC and had to reinstall/update all my drivers, the issue was present before and after.
And the one you linked is for the 580? Would that not cause a problem do to me not having a 580?

Obviously I meant the equivalent release for your card.

Here you go:
https://www.amd.com/en/support/grap...es/amd-radeon-r9-300-series/amd-radeon-r9-390
That didn't solve the problem, I'm afraid.

For reference, this is what is happening

This thread is on the GPU crashing after playing for a while. From what i see in that last post that is not your issue, is that right? If so ... can I gently suggest this thread is not the place for your problem? If my impression is right please start your own thread with the usual files we need:
DXDIAG is a program you run from a command prompt or the Windows start menu 'run' dialog box (or 'search programs' in Windows 7 or later). After running it will open a window and start collecting info with a progress bar in the lower-left corner. When it completes click the 'save all information' button and save it to a file then attach that file here.

Please attach your Documents/Paradox/Imperator/pdx_settings.txt.
From your Documents/Paradox/Imperator/logs/ folder, attach system.log .

My GPU was also crashing, that's why I asked OP if he also had the problem diplayed in the gif, to which he responded that he did. OP and I have the exact same issue.

Well sorry then, 99% of the time when people say "I have the exact same issue" they don't ! :D

We never heard from the OP whether the optional AMD driver fixed his issue as it did for the others in that thread I linked.

Maybe then you have a different issue. What temps are you seeing in the CPU and GPU before the game starts? In the main game menu? As you are playing?

Before opening the game
CPU: 41c
GPU: 46c

On the games main menu:
CPU: 44c
GPU: 47c

While playing the game (paused):
CPU: 46c
GPU: 52c

While playing the game (observer speed 5):
CPU: 52-60c
GPU: 55c

You describe exactly what you mean by "gpu crashing". Because a PC shutdown or reboot points to hardware failure or possibly driver issue. Do you end up back at the desktop, or is the PC frozen completely?
