Not possible anymore.
Send expeditionary forces or to "help" with their orders? I assume the latter, but I might as well be sure :)

Either to get you back on the straight and narrow road, complete the changes you have initiated or cause massive dissent. Too drastic changes come with grave consequences.
So it is best to fulfill what you have once started, or else you will be in a world of hurt?

Best is a relative concept. Some paths are easier, but others give greater benefits to those who can master them:)

Perhaps I should have written "funniest" instead of "best" :)

Thank you for this excellent AAR. Gives us a good idea of how the new changes in HOI2 works. Also enjoyed the story line, very well done for your first AAR.

A few questions if I may, was suprised that the Germans were able to defeat you in the Maginot line via direct assault. Is this because you had a small garrison or have the defensive effects of the Maginot line been reduced in HOI2? I remember in HOI1, Germany would basically create a massive graveyard of their troops if you made a frontal assault against the Maginot line. (There were ways to reduce the impact of the Maginot line by using "Fortress buster" leaders and air assaults, but I never saw the AI implement these tatics)

Concerning your trapped submarines, I thought that capturing denmark only prevented surface ships from leaving/reaching the Baltic seas; that submarines were still able to move through the straits. (Or am I confusing this with Gibralter?)

Again thanks for the enjoyable AAR. I appreciated that you stayed with a story line, instead of trying the min/max everything in an effort to hold off Germany.

IIRC I had reduced the garrison in the breakthrough province to mere 5 divisions, apparently that wasn't enough as the AI could attack from 3 directions.

IRL those straits were pretty heavily mined, wouldn't be surprised if anti-sub cables were used as well. Gibraltar is mighty lot wider and most importantly deeper.

Well, France fell in few weeks in reality. Being able to hold Germans, and Italians, for 6 months actually would indicate that the game has been made quite favourable against Germans.
It fell in weeks not because it had worst tanks or worst tanks or less of them.
But because the Germans, in one master stroke, isolated and cut the best French divisions in Belgium.
However, that has to do more with the incompetence of the French High Command and its deployment.

That is one thing i have never seen in hoi, i hope in hoi2 the french ai is scripted to move into belgium and holland, it makes the schlieffen plan actually work.

Isnt the AI meant to be a bit historical?

Thanks Grosshaus for a quite informative and entertaining HOI2 AAR. I hope there is still a possibility to hold Germans as France, if the cards are played differently.

That's exactly what I plan on trying soonish, without the Spanish adventure and less naval buildup much could have been different. Perhaps.

refer comments like this to the GD please.

They have no place in the AARs, gross is not allowed to answer them, and they add nothing to his story :)
