i have somethin like that

it's not exactly turtledove, though i've read most of his books about alternate history, it's an allied loss in ww1, and france, england, and the US are all fascist, with Germany bein the world's leading democracy, i'm no programmer though, so i could only use this things pitiful editor, and i couldn't get the scenario to actually ever run. Oh, and russia is germany's ally. Mexico, brazil, and cuba are the commie nations, along with most of south america. If anyone wants it, i'll give it to them to play with, as long as if you get it to work i get a copy.

Bottom line is that we should stay focused on getting TGW out first; one step at a time. Maybe this could be done down thr road.:)

I suport it

I suport a Harry turtledove Great War mod because I think it would be kind of cool an alternative history. also if one is started I will make flags for it Generalisimo has a nice CSA flag.

Harry Turtledove

In the 1st book, The Great War:American Front , Woodrow Wilson is the president of the CSA, Teddy Roosevelt is president of the USA. The CSA declares war on US, and quickly captures Washington D.C, at the end of the book, the US has made good gains in Canada, is in the middle of putting down a Mormon Rebellion in Utah, and the CSA has made some good gains. The USA captures and occupies the Sandwich Islands (Hawaii)

In the 2nd Book, The Great War: A Walk in Hell, Gabrial Semmes is now president of the CSA, the Socalists have gained seats in the US congress. The Mormon Rebellion is crushed, Canada is no longer a threat. The USA is deploying a new weapon called a "barrel." The Tide has turned on the Confederates, President Semmes is trying to get congress to approve putting guns in the hands of blacks so they can hold their lines aganst the superior numbers of the USA.

In the 3rd book, The Great War:Breakthroughs, The USA recaptures Washington D.C., General George Armstrong Custer deploys his "barrels" enmass on the Kentucky front and breaks the Confederate lines, Kentucky is Re-addmitted to the Union. In Texas the USA also makes conciderable gains and creates the state of Houston. In Canada the state of Quebec is formed. The war ends with the USA controlling large portions of Virginia and Canada. Germany has defeated the English and French, England grants independance to Ireland. Harsh war reperations are forced on the CSA.

The Allies: United States of America, and Germany
The Enemies: Confederate States of America, Brazil, Argentina, England, France, Russia, and Japan.

I would really like this mod to be made.

This thread was closed.... hmmm....

It should probably be closed again, as we are not going to be working on a Turtledove mod, at least not for quite some time.

Not until we complete the mod, tidy it up, and complete the various scenarios I have in mind. I'm sure if enough people are interested in doing something like that based on our work, we'd be happy to let it be developed within our forum.

Yeah got to go with Allenby, if someone wishes to work on such a scenario (using the HOI engine, there were people talking about using the Vicky engine to accomplish it) here is a good place as any. However the standard GW version, with a couple of ofther campaigns (1916? & 1918? perhaps) should be completed first.

Is it just me or have a lot of old threads been popping up recently? From this one, to the 'I have been thinking about shaving my balls' thread in the OT, are leading the pack in old threads...
