Hello everybody...
first of all my system preferences

Game Version & Patch : V. 1.02
Operatin System: Windows XP

Computer: Intel P4 1800 MHZ

RAM: 768 MB RAM

Free HDD space: Alot something about 100 GB

Video: Geforce Ti 4400
Sound: SB Live Wave Device

DirectX Version: 9.0

And now my problem:
when i play the game ...it legs. In single player mode??!
My mouse freezes for just seconds and then moves on--
its Logitech Mx 700(cordless)

it makes me crazy!! so any sugesstions
 
How often does it happen? Could it be that this is just your game auto-saving (provided you have enabled auto-save)?

hmm...is there a way for you to test victoria with some other type of mouse. As i understand mx700 is an optical mouse, mybe ye can borrow a wheeled mouse from a friend or buy it for testing from the nearest computer store, cheapest models cost something like 2 euros. There have been reported problems with optical mouses in some applications, so it's worth checking.
 
I have a cordless optical mouse from Medion and no problems!
 
Do the batteries need charging/changed?
 
i have tested it with another mouse. Same problem!!
i have the newest driver for my Geforce too...
it doesnt matter if i start the game from cd or HD. All the same.

Could it be that you have other programs/processes running on your computer that are interfering with Victoria?

Turn off anything running in the background, such as virus protection, ICQ/messanger ...
 
Now i have shut down all tasks that are started by a user. disabled virus protektion and sound....
what do you think???

This is very strange, I think it is a copy protection problem.
Who is the publisher and distributer of your version? Their logo should be on the CD.
 
SF does not make a UK version.
Tell me the three logos that are on the CD?
 
Ohhh....well.
From top there is a big "E" logo.
"Everyone - content rated by ESRB" thats the text under it.
Then a "paradox entertainment" logo
and last a "strategy first" logo.

and then there is a " Compact Disk - data storage" logo with a number- 1029582.

thats all.
 
You bought it in a retail store in Austria?
Did it come with a manual or just a jewel case?
