I installed without SWMH localized titles in the installer and yet several titles are named in nativa languages like England, Angliettere and Scotland Alba. Also William the Conqueror scenario is the first one and should probably be the third instead?
Some of SWMH's namings are applied via the landed_titles file rather than localisation, so there's sadly no decent way to override it.

As to the bookmarks, that's a Project Balance thing. That bookmark is the primary balancing point, so it is placed first.

Playing with all modules except for SWMH installed, there seems to be a problem with Zoroastrians and holding feasts. Namely, they cannot give out the titles required to be held by courtiers in order to allow feasts! This makes it quite problematic for a sprawling Zoroastrian kingdom to keep everyone happy.

I believe that's a VIET Immersion issue, via one of its integrated mods. Ordep will probably be able to fix it.

Playing with Project Balance and VIET Events / Traits and starting in the Old Gods start date you can't play as either of the counts in Iceland as they both start as count level Republics.

That's pretty much historical. The feudal system didn't really apply there, especially not before they were annexed by Norway.

I'm not an expert in the area but is it normal for the Bolghar provinces to already be Muslim in 867?

As far as i'm aware, it's been a little while since i last checked, they are muslim in vanilla too. But maybe the vanilla setup is wrong, i don't really know enough about Volga Bulgaria to judge that.

Last I heard, that actually only affects unlanded characters.

I'll reduce PB's penalty to 5% rather than 10% though, then we'll see how that does.

Cool. Not sure what you mean about COURT_SIZE_CHILD_PENALTY_THRESHOLD only affecting unlanded characters. Indeed, to have a court, you must be landed, so it must only affect playable rulers. Since 2.0, we've got all sorts of [unlanded] characters being added to courts, more than before... *glares at the Jews* ;) I know that you already raised this from what you initially reduced it to (30->20->25), but maybe leaving that mechanic alone is best. Toss on the sickly children and dying mothers and secondary spouse/concubine nerfs, and the situation starts to get relatively sorry when mods' preexisting nerfs are stacked upon top. In other words, vanilla has finally reached our intended level of fertility, I posit.

I mean I believe it only affects your courtiers. So they're limited to one kid max once the court goes beyond the minimum size.
I'm far from certain on that point though.

Hello! I have just installed HIP and I was wondering how do I install the VIET portraits fix? Because at the moment I am stuck with staring at the cold, black holes that are the core of the European and Middle Eastern aristocracies souls, I would prefer their faces though.

Check the VIET thread in a couple of minutes ;)

I'm pretty sure the issue for Mac users is that OS X only gives you the option to "merge folder" (i.e., only replace the same-named files in the folder, not the whole folder) /sometimes/, as opposed to in every folder you install, for whatever reason. (It might be as simple and dumb that, in many cases, the spot the "merge" button occupies on the decision pop-up is taken up by the by the "keep newer" button. I suppose that make sense for a lot of things, but it is really bugging out the copy-paste install instructions, I think)

I'm going to copy-paste file-by-file, instead, which I am sure will work. Sadly, in order for things to get simpler, someone will either have to code an installer, or, I fear, Meneth will have to save each file to time-stamps that fit the install order. (i. e., Every file in PB_Viet_Events will have to have a later save-timestamp than every file in Viet_Events, etc., and every file in VIET_Events will have to have a later timestamp than every file in VIET_traits, etc.)

You could install Python 2.7 (or later should also work) and run the source code for the installer directly.

It would be immensely helpful to explain what "run the source code" actually means for those of us not programmers. I have no knowledge of python aside from installing it for thoselibraries, and many other players have a similar knowledge. Its certainly less common then unzipping files and that alone causes some confusion.

eh. Regardless. When everything becomes compatible. I'm going to become mush in my stomach because I want to use ancient religion with this so bad :p
Uni makes it hard to get progress in, but I try to get in some work every week, and a few days per week if I'm lucky, though whats mostly left to do now is the holy order overhauls, flavor events and localisations, so it shouldnt be too long now xD

I'll get down on com patches as soon as its out.

I've just started a new game with this mod, and this comment isn't necessarily directed at this mod. I decided to start in 1270 and play for the first time as a member of the HRE. The Emperor is Richard Plantagenet, son of King John of England. Huh? How did this happen?

I am running all the viet and ARKO modules, as well as high kings and consuls for viet. The majority of the muslim countries in the world are called "banu [regular name]" with banu always being lower case. What could be causing this?

AFAIK, could be ARKOpack changing the Arabic dynasty name construction.

He was elected King of the Romans in 1256.
