This is a really nitpicky thing, I know, but I noticed that when I make a republic using the console, the duchy title shows up as "Grand City of Suchandsuch" rather than "Republic of Suchandsuch", is there some way I can change this?

Edit: Posting this here because I didn't get this issue in vanilla, I imagine it has to do with the title changes in SWMH or something.
 
Looks great so far, great to have a bigger map and content.

But one thing, is the army levies supposed to recover so slowly? I'm not sure how fast it is in the normal game but it's seems a lot slower in this mod. Maybe I'm just sad because I can't seem to get a break as Karen.

Project Balance slows it down quite a bit. A big war is supposed to have long-term consequences.
 
Any opinion on the patchnotes? Any new features that might interfere with mod features, apart from the obvious elephant-in-the-room of the map expansion? Maybe the extended modding (as with every patch) allows for previously impossible things to be added?

Project Balance will likely utilize the custom unit thing for all cultural buildings. Allows us to balance things more closely, and also give a nice bit of flavor.
Properly moddable join conditions for factions might be utilized as well in some manner, but no specific plans there.

Beyond that we don't have any specific plans right now; we'll have to see what opportunities present themselves once RoI is out.

For VIET, like PB, we are not entirely sure of the opportunities (or new restrictions) the patc changes will add, so we will have to see. A bunch of written notes don't help too much for modders, unfortunately. And that's not to mention all the annoying merging we will have to do (VIET, being the broadest in scope of all the HIP mods, has the most merging to do unfortunately). :/

The friends/rivals stuff should come in handy in the future, though, as I've always wanted to add in a few more ways to add in friends and rivals.
 
Why is the additional objectives submod listed as incompatible with 2.04?? I use the PB-compatible version of the mod and it works just fine.

I use it, as well, though, to be honest, I'm not sure whether I'm seeing anything from that mod or not. I really have no idea what the default ambitions are versus what is added by AO versus what is added by HIP.
 
A couple of NAE issues:

1. It would appear that the Espana crash is back in the current release. Prior discussion - http://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum...ug-reports&p=16998163&viewfull=1#post16998163

2. With the way that e_africa is defined in landed_titles it ends up not able to form in NAE as the only requirement was 75% of land. So when NAE revises things it has no requirements left. What combination of modules? Copy your version.txt please.

España in SWMH doesn't require any kingdoms, so I can't say I see the issue.
I've responded in the e_africa thread about that specific issue.
 
Hi there, I'm new to these forums (had trouble even verifying my account) and wanted to download and try out this mod(modpack?) but every time I click the download button, I just get a white screen, adblock is disabled, using google chrome. Is there an alternative download location anywhere?

edit: never mind, the 17th refresh started the download :)

edit2: I have downloaded it and followed the instructions to the best of my ability... however, the mod is not showing up in the launcher. I am assuming one needs to unpack into the mod folder in my documents, rather than the one in Steam (the one with the don't put mods here and dummy text files) other than that, I don't know why it is not showing up.. help much appreciated.

Make sure you run hip.exe after extracting to create the mod structure.
Done that, I extracted into the mod folder, then ran the hip.exe, yes to all, now I have the folder 'Historical Immersion Project' inside 'HIP 2014-03-14' inside the mod folder
Still no luck

edit: I have it working :) thanks anyway

Oh hey, I don't know if you guys know about this, but my roommate informed me that if you try to play as a Fin, using the character creator, the only last name that comes up in the name generator is "Smith". Not sure if it's supposed to be like that or if it's a bug, but there it is.

I'm assuming you're playing with SWMH (as that wouldn't be an issue if you were playing with Immersion as that uses vanilla's Finnish culture)? Looks Ike they may not have assigned any dynasty names to that culture then.
