might be a dumb question but isn't smwh compatible with rajas?
I just tried the ROI compatible version but when i load it, the map shown to play on is still without the india part and the graphics are all distorted

It is compatible, but none of India is included yet.

so do you have any suggestions? I deleted all HIP's previous files, started crusader kings and the map and game work perfectly in vanilla then I installed the ROI version of the mod again, kept pressing enter since the suggested modules are what i prefer and when i start the game, i only see the european part and and the map is distorted, I use no other mods or adaptations.

Any suggestions are welcome

EDIT: so ok i re-installed HIP without SMWH and now it works, so i guess you can't use smwh for the european parts if you use the ROI add-on??

The latest version installer tells me that it's from 4/12 and it doesn't let me install VIET immersion.
I messed up the date (I'll get that fixed).
Are you installing SWMH? Can't use both at once.

If you don't install that mod, then all titles are in their native language, which means that you are not going to know who is who unless it is in your own language (or go check which dominions they have).

Is the Speak English mod part of HIP? I thought that it was going to be. Did that ever happen? I ask because I'm wondering whether I should be enabling it or not.
It's an unofficial sub-mod of HIP, maintained by @superskierspat, which is bundled directly in the installer due to its popularity. [I prefer it, myself.] They have a thread in the HIP forums here somewhere-- too lazy to search right now, sorry-- and do all their work on git, so you could even theoretically contribute easily if you wanted.

mmm... that make me think we could have a list or thread with a list of those sub-mods, giving links and update status ;)

In vanilla Republics are stuck with the centralization_1 crown law. It can't ever be changed, but it does allow them to appoint generals and revoke titles. In PB they can still appoint generals like everyone else, but they're barred from access to any other crown laws including revokation.
Well there's our problem. Hope it gets fixed, I really want to get into playing Republics but without revocation I just can't do it.

That answers my question. There's no need to install it as a stand-alone mod, as it's an integral part of HIP. I suppose that the only time it wouldn't be in effect would be if you chose SWMH with localization. Is this correct?

What is the frequency in HIP of a character to gain the Possessed trait. Just from my anecdotal playing experience, it doesn't seem to be very rare. There seems to be a few hundred characters with it in my current game.

Sounds like you already figured out the frequency. I could tell you empirically with my savegame analysis tools, but then I'd have to code something [slightly]. The trait is given out at random without a chance factor, so the rate of occurrence is at least partially hardcoded (At least one MTTH event from vanilla also hands it out, and you could calculate the # from that, but it wouldn't include all of those randomly generated characters with the trait).

If possessed equates to expressed (i.e., not genetically present but dormant) schizophrenia, that should be about 1 in 200 characters alive, give or take your RNG. If you include schizoaffective disorder (which Paradox probably shouldn't have, if that's how they calculated the intended frequency-- if they calculated anything at all), it's probably more like 1 in 100 characters. There is good reason to believe that these frequencies were considerably higher in the late middle ages amongst the nobility (i.e., every character in the game except peasant revolt leaders...).

Yes.
