By the way, Check Friends and Rivals can probably be removed as redundant now.

Aye, someone mentioned that ot me somewhere else and I'll have that removed for the next version.

I have a question about the following decision: Holy War on Pagans requirements.

Here's what I see on screen:

Code:
Conditions:
(*) All of the following must be true:
        (X) One of the following must be true:
            (X) Is Zoroastrian
        (*) Realm Province:
            (*) Is NOT Pagan

The decision has the green check mark as if I meet all of the requirements, yet I don't meet the Zoroastrian requirement because I'm Catholic. What do these requirements even mean??? Personally, I wouldn't be too upset if these war condition decisions somehow disappeared. I think it's easier to just figure out who you want to fight and see if you can. I'm not real sure how useful they are.

It means that you need to have all of your provinces in your religion, If remember correctly after having used HIP. Do you use the VIET-immersion module?

Does the newest patch stop the mongols from instantly culture switching?

Well, I decided to outright turn-off RoI's new "convert to local province culture" decision for the AI. There are already preexisting vanilla-based events which, over time and only under certain circumstances and appropriately weighted by title tier, will assimilate an AI ruler into the local province culture. That's enough as it is. Thanks, but no thanks, RoI.

I assume that acceleration of conversion to province culture due to enabling the RoI DLC is what you're talking about.

Is EU IV conversion possible to the MEIOU Death and Taxes mod ?Or must it be vanilla ?

I have a few questions regarding character names:

1) If there are certain names that I want to keep Anglicized regardless of culture, such as John instead of Jean or Frederick instead of Friedrich, how would I go about doing that?

2) If I edit the save game to give a character a new name upon ascension to the throne will the game automatically assign the correct regnal number based on the name I give him?

3) Is there a way to see what a Pope's given name was before he assumed his Pope name?

I have run into a run-time error crash to desktop during start up, specifically Calculating Naval Ranges. It only happens when I try to run the game without the SWMH module. Any help you could provide would be wonderful.

1. Go to the file that has all the names. Can't remember what file it is, but the names are given for each culture, for each gender, in alphabetical order, in the pattern of Jean_John Friedrich_Frederick, for example. Find what the second half of the name you want to standardize is, and search for "_Name". That'll direct you to every instance of versions of that name, and you can change them to what you want. This is how the game allows you to go from John I to Jean II.

2. No idea.

3. Mouse over the character's portrait in certain views. It gives a list of various information, one of which is "Birth Name". Works for anyone whose name changed, I believe. I know for certain it works for popes and anti-popes. Haven't checked for anyone else.

I have a mac and I installed the mod following the directions you have posted. It ran great the first time. But now when I start up CK2 it will not allow me to choose a mod to play it just loads straight into vanilla. Is this a problem with the mod or with the Ck2 launcher?

This is a known issue with vanilla CK2: http://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/showthread.php?746505-ATTENTION-MAC-USERS!-Please-read-this-before-posting-ANY-CK2-problems-on-Mac-!

Unfortunately, there's nothing we can do about it.

I don't think the HIP converter was ever designed to be compatible with MEIOU, there was a post on it somewhere around here.

However, I'm also having problems just having the converter work at all now. I'm running HIP PB/All VIET stuff/NBRT/Arko and a) with a game I started at one of the late-1200s bookmarks (I think 1287 or something) I'm now getting a CTD on July 10, 1304, happens every time I reload, can't get past it; and b) trying to just do a converter export before that date with that save crashes before completing as well. So not sure that the converter is compatible at all anymore.

OrdepNM said on the VIET main thread that he has been and will continue to be busy in real life for a while so it seems likely that one of the recent patched broke things. Not sure if anyone else can take a look at the converter files since OrdepNM was the master of that bit.

Hi, in the next version, could you fix the retinue banner in the Military > Retinues tab? When the retinue possible or the retinue cap you have used rise above 1K, it just shows "1K". But there was a time I hovered over it and it was actually 1400+. I feel like before HIP, it would display the first decimal point (e.g., 1.4K). I'm sure in the late game that decimal doesn't matter, but in the early game for Old Gods I kind of miss it.

I'm really enjoying the mod. I'd actually like to know if there's a way to donate to anyone who made the modules or brought it all together under HIP. I wish video game companies would take really good mods like this and just 'absorb' them into the standard game and set something up so the modder could get paid via a DLC.

I downloaded the latest RoI release of this and I have two eye sores that i'm not sure are intended or not. First off the background behind all portraits is not circular so it doesn't fit into the portrait circle, its more of a half oval and rather ugly with the points sticking out of the circle. Secondly the character of interest circle is still there but blank, and the old marraige rings button's circle is still there but blank, the new one is beside the ambitions which is precariously placed slightly on top of the left border of the window. Are these all intended somehow like artistic or am I seeing a bug or an issue related to a resolution you guys do not support? (playing on the lowest resolution the game supports).

All of the interface changes are due to Arko's Armories and interface changes. The two ovals you mentioned are for showing current plots and ambitions of the character you are checking out. The special interest circle is now at the top right of the character screen. So its all intended.
