Is the converter going to be updated any time soon? It's really neat and I'd like to use it, but it doesn't seem to have any of the additions from RoI and later updates to the mod.
Ordep, the guy responsible for the converter, is on hiatus due to recently becoming a father.
So I'm afraid it's unlikely there'll be any updates to the converter for the next few months.

I've found pretty big bug in the most recent version, and which takes about 5 seconds to fix: pagans are unable to raid pagans of other religions. This is due to a line missing in the 00_religions file. Adding "hostile_within_group = yes" under pagan_group re-enables this, and yet again make Romuvas able to raid Slavic counties.

P.s., I always raise the aggression of all religions to be at least 0.85, instead of 0.1 which is the ordinary value for African and Finnish pagans. It's still a lot less than the 1.5 and 2.0 of their surrounding pagans, but simply makes it ever so slightly more possible for them to do something more than hibernate. This makes the regions in the north-east and south-west of the map a lot more interesting and unpredictable, and I'd recommend this to be incorporated into the HIP. Especially with the VIET flavours to these religions, they deserve to have the chance to be more than just conquered :) And after all, just because these people had gods of different names than the Slavs, Norse or Balts, they weren't intrinsically a lot more peaceful.

It's correct in PB, so it is most likely a VIET Immersion issue.

Playing the most recent version and I've noticed a few bugs. When the King of Ireland won Jerusalem he kept the kingdom and now Jerusalem is under the Kingdom of Ireland. Technically there is no land under the Kingdom of Jerusalem. Seems to be woefully incorrect.

Also, AI has a really big problem with moving, or not in this case, their retinues back to their capital provinces.

And in a civil war my liege kept disbanding and re-raising his levies for seemingly no reason.

I'm wondering if I've installed this wrong because it seems to be really buggy at times, like when you look at a last of characters, for whatever, at times there is a clone of one of them.

But the current version is working right? Please say yes! :eek:o
It should work for any combination of HIP that doesn't include SWMH, yes.
But as pointed out, it doesn't do so perfectly, but it should be entirely serviceable.

This is a vanilla bug which Paradox fixed in a recent beta patch, and that fix has already been incorporated into both PB and VIET betas.

The only bug in there that's our doing might be the Irish King keeping Jerusalem. We can't mod the AI's troop control abilities, and I don't think any HIP mod makes changes to the character finder.

What DLC is necessary to play with every mode except SWMH?

(i know that CPR needs portrait DLC)
CPR is the only module that requires any DLC.
Having Legacy of Rome is highly recommended for PB though, as a decent amount of PB's balancing is based on retinues being present.

Why there are 2 genoese republic titles, "Repubblica di Genoa" and "Repubblica di Genova"? Also the flag seems wrong to me.

Edit: I've edited genoese flag myself.

Just downloaded this and loving it already.

Is the VIET guy still working on events? I want to make a bunch of events and providing them for you guys to include might be good.

Where should I look for a detailed breakdown on how the subjugation mechanic works in HIP?

Well thanks :p as Meneth said Im on a sort of paternity leave from modding but it'll definitely be my priority as soon as I resume working on HIP. As for when that'll be, no guesstimates but I definitely dont want the converter to be out of order forever, and I'll be resuming work on it before going back to VIET, so dont despair ;)

Honestly I dunno myself, since Im completely out of the loop on CK2 and EUIV, but feedback I heard here and there points to it being very buggy due to patching most likely in both games. I've read someone posting that all countries went ottoman tech and I can only wonder what madness possessed the tech allocation system to do that :s Anyway, it'll all be fixed in time.

If you want to get something into VIET the first thing would be to pitch it to Cybr and I (now just cybr since Im on hiatus). If we like it and the execution is good it'll be added and credit given. Alternatively you can make your own submod, release it independently and then if we like it we may ask to integrate it into VIET, with credit given of course.

Any estimates for when we could expect to see the next update?

And do you plan on reintegrating CPR then or at some later point?

We would like to welcome theking1988 onto the HIP team as the newest member of the SWMH team.

Welcome theking!

CPR will hopefully be reintegrated; right now we want to make sure it's relatively stable.
