Been reading through this forum quite a bit. Got the game a week ago (in New Zealand). Running XP Pro. Have renamed my avi directory to get around that bink video thing.

One problem remains. Admittedly it ain't the end of the world, the game came as 1.04 out of the box. But having trouble with the 1.05 patches.

All the regions patches I've tried tell me the patch 'could not find a previous install' of EU2. (patches I've tried are Aussie/Kiwi, UK, NA).
Have uninstalled and reinstalled a couple of times to various locations, including the default, and gone through the process of updating drivers (nvidia/sblive/dxdiag check/etc). The game is listed in add/remove programs just fine.

The box says Typhoon Games. Don't see that referred to anywhere, is it some Asian version?
I tried registering for support at their web site a couple of times over the past week but their registration process has been 'down for maintainance' the whole time, lol, prol been down for maintenance for a looooong time. Otherwise filled out a support request on their online support form 4 days ago... no reply.

Any help on finding a 1.05 patch for this version would be appreciated :)
 
I will ask Patric if he knows something about it.

Typhoon is the Asian publisher and I think they are located in Hong-Kong; it has been said they have done extensive localization for the game.
 
You're not alone Daskip! I too suffer from Typho(id)oon Games lack of patch information.
We were also out of luck as far as the in-box fold out map, but that's what we get for living down here....

Hopefully Patric will be able to exert a little pressure on our Hong Kong friends...

btw, where in NZ are you from?

Was down at the NZRFU headquarters the other day for work, they were all happy to show me that Tri-nations cup, lol!!

Might go email them again.... the HK buggas.
 
Progress...perhaps.

I received this email from Typhoon Games a couple of days ago (after some serious spamming):

We're currently making the patch and will have it through to you shortly, we will contact them on the availability. We are sorry for the trouble caused.

No timeline given, but at least (for their sake) they've placated me for a week or two. :)
 
Wow.......a fair few kiwi's here, and where I least expected them!

I got my Typhoon (HK) EU2 1.04 as well, and am eagerly awaiting the patching progress. So thanks for your efforts in pioneering the support.
 
Gave the 'beta' 1.05 patch a whirl on the weekend (very briefly as there was much football (and of many codes) to be watched! :)

I didn't have time to look at the 1.05 change notes so I didn't look for any specific fixes. If anyone can point out a really obvious one that would take me mere moments to test I'd happily do it tonight.

If anyone wants a copy of it I'll send it to them (approx ~5meg, and unfortunately I don't have anywhere to host it). Actually, the link that Typhoon Games gave me may still be in my Inbox at home and could still be valid...

How is it holding out?

Is it more stable now than before, in terms of desktop crashes?

Also, to see if it is 1.05, see if you can access a scenario editor in your main EU directory.

If your having luck I would quite like to have a look at the patch, if you have the link handy.

Anyone had any luck?

They have not emailed me back. Also, seemed unable to find any Paradox patch on Typhoon games. All their patches seem to be Strategy First North American.
 
keep e-mailing them, at some time, they'll have to answer you. there is not much we can do :( Patric said they haven't replied to him either :(
