in lamplighters every mission, I do all the optional extras and kill everything and from a story point of view it does nothing to slow progression. If you decide you want to enjoy the game and recruit a few extra members or earn some resources the game punishes you for enjoying the game.

It's an all or nothing at the moment....there needs to be re revamp of the doomsday clock so you can work on the sidelines/side jobs to reduce threat because even from a story point of view, if you were attacking the enemy on all these fronts there's no way they would progress as much as they do/are allowed to at the moment.
 
All of the hotfix information regarding saves for Xbox is false...... ALL of the issues are still happening and that is with me uninstalling/reinstalling the game on two separate occasions since the hotfix.

I can just about do with the constant crashing i.e. .... finish a mission crash, start a mission crash, drop a ladder in game crash but the loss of saves in crushing.

Twice I have lost two long campaigns with one at 20 weeks one at 30 weeks and you have no idea when it's going to happen ... your enjoying the game one minute (albeit with the constant crashing) the next something syncs or crashes, you load the game back up and everythings gone ..... like the game doesn't even recognize you've just put 40+ hrs into it

Prioritising the fix so a saved game is never lost should be the top agenda, at least then the game is playable.

Our dev team's highest priority right now is locating these issues and applying fixes. As soon as we know more about when the fix is arriving and what it will include, we'll let you know!

After updated 1.1.5, on Xbox Series X, problems of crash and save-file lost are still happening.
When I processed to around Week 14 in game, it became more frequent than ever.
Most crashes happened at the end of battles, that is, when completed the task and then turned to the winning view. More disappointed thing followed, relaunched the game, I found the last save-file was saved 1 or 2 hours ago, even I saved a file per some minutes in Manual Save-slots in turn.

Still unplayable on Xbox cloud gaming, crashes more than half the time there's a auto or manual save, I only have 1 campaign and two manual saves in it, so none of them "advice" even applies.

Here's a new one to add to the list. I'm on Xbox series X and this game has managed to break cloud syncing. For some unknown reason, the saves for this game appear to have hit a magic 512MB limit and my Xbox can't sync the cloud saves anymore. I have no idea why it's so huge given that I have a single campaign with a single save. This results in an endless loop when starting the game. When I click start, it attempts to sync but can't, then attempts to do so again after acknowledging the error message. Sometimes you can interrupt it and cancel the sync, but it just attempts to do it again. Suspicious this might be tied to all our save problems. This is in addition to all the other bugs you've heard about on series X: constant crashing to home screen, failing to save, saves disappearing, massive lag on certain maps, etc..

one save is more than 512mb?! So horribly huge size!
However, its saves should be located in the storage of XSX, then be synced to cloud at some time. So, it's strange to lose the saves in local, even sync is failed.

Fifteen days after the last patch, the game is still broken and unfixed. Very sad not being able to play the game :(

When the devs finally sort out all the constant crashing and save bugs ect ...they should create a free dynamic home page for consoles, you know ....seeing as we've all spent a huge majority of our lamplighters league playtime looking at our console home screen

Can call it "Lamplighters and the curse of the crash"

It's been tricky to set an ETA from our side as well, which is why we have not wanted to promise anything just yet. What I can share is that the next update is closing in and that we'll let you know a bit more this Friday and next week!

this is terrible... I had the patience to start the game again 3 times, but I'm not ready for this anymore. The last time my saves disappeared was around 23-26 weeks. Now I'm at the end of the story, and something is going wrong again. not to mention constantly logging into the home screen and replaying the same battles ten times... In the first picture, I’m making another save before completing the mission, so as not to lose progress (this is hysterical). On the second - my saves after restarting the game, after I was kicked out after the end of the battle...

Hey Rus!

The next update is on its way but is currently delayed for Xbox Game Pass. There is currently no ETA on a fix as the team is still investigating the issues. Thank you for staying patient.
 
I saw my game on game pass get updated to version 1.2 so I held my breath and started playing for the first time in a month (having been forced to quit out of sheer frustration from the Marteau heist).

Upon launching I immediately found that all saved within the Marteau mission were now invalid, which was not a promising start. But when I found I could load the hideout save just before the heist, I figured I'd give it another spin.

I can't tell you how disappointed I am that after this update, TWO TIMES I have attempted the Marteau mission and lost progress. Once when I was so bold as to save ONE TIME after the main fight but before leaving. The second time when I passed the mission. It acknowledged I passed, but the moment you hit A it hangs and then crashes.

These are the Very Same Crashes as a month ago. I immediately uninstalled the game again. I can't bear it. I love this game but not being able to complete it is a kind of torture. Was this release not tested? It's so patently obvious it was going to crash I don't know why I deluded myself.

I pity all the people that will rightly give this a chance on Xbox only to find you literally cannot finish the game because it is broken and several "fixes" haven't fixed anything, apart from nullifying existing saves.

I sympathize with the devs, I do. But finish your game so you can stay proud of it!

Came back to this game yesterday. Restarted the Heist Mission and was able to save before every one of the 4 fights...but after the last one the usual happened and I was back at the Xbox dashboard.
I will give it one last try and than be done for it for at least a few month...which did wonders to my "Phoenix Point" exeperience.
I hope you guys can turn it around...the game deserves it!
 
Dear, @PdxInteractive (and @WeBeHarebrained?), you probably won’t read this… But if by some occult mysterious reason you may pay attention to this, please take it as a kind request/comment from a fan/friend/lamplighter:
Despite we are well aware of how bad @HBSLamplighters release went and that your “divorce” is imminent, know that you have a great opportunity at hand. Not only to recover part of the financial fiasco but also to open up other revenue streams, captivate your audience and to fix any brand reputation damage.
To the facts: you got a great IP at hand, a great storytelling piece, and a unique game (possibly). I’ve just beat the game yesterday after insisting on beating all the constant crashes specially with Marteau heist + the final Tower mission…
The game is very clever, graphically beautiful, and story-wise amusing. Unfortunately you don’t always get a second chance at making a great 1st impression. And that was exactly what happened when you rushed to deploy without further testing. I get it… There are deadlines, pressure from investors, and the “agile” mindset. However, that rush costs a lot in terms of reputation, and not all gamers will be willing to waste 20 hours or more just to overcome crashes as I did. It paid off, but there is still this bad aftertaste over those hours spent.
So please, get you sh*t together and fix it for your own brand sake and maybe you can recover part of those $22.7 M lost… I’m still willing to buy the game after having played it on Game Pass if you do so. To give it up too soon shows you had PR and management issues.
After all, the disappointment with those crashes surely did a dent to reviews and word-of-mouth driven sales. However you got a great chance to review those mistakes and make up for them. And a suggestion: as a boardgame player myself maybe you could set a partnership with @CMONGames and license @HBSLamplighters as a boardgame too. Just check out how successful their Zombicide has been along the last years of bordgame renaissance! LlL would be awesome over the table! I look forward to it!
Don’t get me wrong, again just take it as a friend/fan/lamplighter advice who cares about a great art piece as your game. And if by any means you may need a Service/Experience Designer support, count on me and please let me know. Best regards…

Hi, I have also been experiencing game crashes the past week or so. I am somewhere around Week 23 and it seemingly happens when I am trying to save. I play through Xbox Game Pass and it has been super disappointing since it's the only game I am currently obsessed with beating. Can you offer any suggestions or help?
