Some of flc files has bigger frames, to bigger to use it on EU2. How to resize it's frames? What size is best to use?

Good question. A question I am dying to find the answer for myself, as those CK units would look damn cool in EUII with the proper size...

Hey Kaigon, how come no sink sequence on your galley?

You have to break apart the galleydeath.flc and use the SW one for sinking.

You can check that, there IS a sink sequence, but somehow, it refuses to load. Actually, it's the .spr file that refuses to load since I've tried to use other sequences than my sinking one.

Oh :eek:o I see now...isn't that strange.

When I'm converting (well, trying to convert :D) the effect is that instead of getting animation of walking/fighting I get the frame that moves along the file. Well, let's say I have a file --

ABCDEFGHIJKLMN

And instead of seeing the animation that shows next letters (first A, then B, then C, etc.) I see A, then half of A and half of B, then B, then half of B and half of C, then C, etc.

Any ideas what am I doing wrong?

Yay, thanks!
When I do everything as said in tutorial, single file is over 0.5 mb. When I resize the image - keeping relation between the parameters - the object apart from showing animation, also shakes horizontaly (left right left right left right). How can I compress it's size w/o risking that unwanted side effect?

Thanks for help.

Although 0.5 mb might seem a bit high it shouldn't be a problem, as long as you zip/rar them.
My leigonary sprites all has an attackimage around 400 kb size, although the whole sprite package still is around 100 kb download.
If the animation seem shaky, they separate frames hasn't been placed corretly and that too is a mess to fix. AFAIK, no civ3 units are that way when converted, so you might have done something... so the easiest fix would be to redo them.
Doing sprites is never easy...

Units are not shaking when I don't change a size of the orginal image. And when I am not changing the size, the sprite is as big as a province and sometimes even bigger which can be a problem :D

That's a valid reason to change the size :D yes, I agree...
but unfortunately I can't help you that much since I've never resized a sprite (and most sprites that I work with are to small, so if anything they need to get bigger).
You're on your own, good luck... ;)
