That's because King of Egypt title the Fatimids start with it is a muslim only title. It's not creatable, but it's possible to claim it in a war. Then there's the creatable crusader Kingom of Egypt, so in effect there are two king titles for Egypt. So now my current king is the King of Sicily, Leon, Portugal, Andalusia, Egypt, Georgia, and Egypt. Is this a bug?
That's pretty much what I did. And after taking it, I gave it to my king's heir.I've had both titles, and it didn't cause any problems that I'm sure of. I think I got it by first somehow vassalizing one of the Orders, and then taking it when he broke the vassalization.
Gracias for clarifying it up. So my king is actually the King of the Fatimids and Egypt. Awesome. Now if only there's a way to convert him into a muslim. . . What a great rp'ing time I will probably have. That's because King of Egypt title the Fatimids start with it is a muslim only title. It's not creatable, but it's possible to claim it in a war. Since you're the player, when he inherits he will become your kingdom with 'Templar Order' as an additional king title. The only effect will be that there will no longer be a templar order.Won't it mess up my game once he ascends the throne?![]()
All I know is, if the Knight's Order becomes your primary title it seriously messes your game up. So make sure you hold onto your other king titles!Won't it mess up my game once he ascends the throne?![]()
Thanks for the heads up amigo. My grandmaster heir is, well, still an heir unfortunately. His father, the king, has no intention of dying yet, I'm afraid.I just tried this out and I can confirm that if the Grandmaster title is one of your secondary titles the game functions normally. It counts as a king title as well, so you get extra prestige from it.
Unfortunately it calls you "King of the Templar Order" rather than grandmaster. Oh well.
Just send your heir to the knight order as a fosterling, chances are, he will eventually become the heir to the Grandmaster. Then just kill off the old Grandmaster, or if he's really old he might just die before your heir returns home. How did you make your heir Grandmaster?
