The list of fallen is long and depressing. :(

Oh, and PJL: Jeesh. "I miss XXX more".

Yes, I realize I'm not the most popular character around, but you don't have to be so honest. :D

Bocaj... Habsburg.
To comfort you Habsburg is still playing steady every week on sunday in languish and Bocaj I believe is/was in a game(s) but as the old tradition demands he drops more often than not (to bocaj : :p)

Hey , if Mowers was 100, you'd be 97...... See not THAT much more,:D.

Well I'll be damned... someone else but FAL actually noticed my absence. :D

In spite of Pibe and PJL's less than kind comments, I find this thread to be rather hearth-warming. And funny that this thread should arise on the same day that I finally got an internet connection at my place...

But at any rate, I don't plan to come back to EU2. Not so much because parts of the community annoyed me in the end, but moreso because I simply got tired of the game itself.

Do feel free to contact me when Paradox decides to make an EU3, though.

What's that supposed to mean?! :(

But I'm touched that someone realised I was gone. As Hive said this thread is kind of heart-warming. :)

Lest we forget and with all hopes and prayers that he's not dead and buried, Dago.

Nah... Dago's still around. He's playing Hattrick nowdays, had a chat to him a little while back. He's had some connection issues and he's pretty busy lately, so he's taking a break from EU2. The only thing htat seems to be dead and buried for him is his copy of EU2.

Heh nobody misses me :p

Notice that you are all still on about this mythical EU3....

Play hOi2 its a real game :p

You're hard to miss.

Thank you. Thank you. I'll be here all week. :D

EU3 will be here. We just have to be patient.

I'm waiting for Doomsday before picking up HOI MP.

I am going to pick that 20€ package up too. Nice price. And who knows, I might love HoI2 more than I did HoI1.

Oh, and good to see you all at least are still on the forum ;)

I expect Hive to sign up for a new game between now and two months.

I miss you at least, vicky MP always grieves the loss of a player...

I have the MP forum as one of my default pages in firefox. That way by giving the forum a quick glance I'm sure to pick up on anything interesting posted.

I find that I feel compelled to look at a thread maybe once or twice in a blue moon. :p

Hmmm, as my regular Flemish/moderator MP game has been on hiatus for quiet a while now due to holidays/exams of various participants, I am starting to miss some MP gaming. I think my last MP bash stems from the mod/admin convention at Paradox Towers in Stockholm in early December where my OE crushed all! :D

I'm still a regular reader to the MP forum for that matter. But apart from philosophical differences, differing views about experiments and so on, it basically comes down to the very simple matter that the latest tendency is to play in weekends when I absolutely cannot make it :D

Slargos,

HOI2 MP is very very good. I am in the aussie group games as you might have seen since you look at that forum. We have finished several Grand Campaigns now and find the game extremly stable for MP (Better then EU2 really as nobody drops connection) though it is badwidth hungry you cannot host with less then 512 upload and cannot play with less then 256 download.

We have games of between 6(minmum for major nations) and 11 players. Even minor countries such as Nationalist Spain have a major part to play in the war much more so then minor powers in EU2.

And what could possibly be cooler then massed Carrier battles in the Pacific or panzers on the Eastern Front? Drop by some time all of you and I'll show you some screenies from my games.

P.S HOi2 smacks HOI1 about and leaves it for dead, its that much better. :)

I am actually quite curious about HOI MP. Should be quite fun theoretically.

The talk of massive cheating scares me away, however.

Oh, and any game where I can't play Sweden with a reasonable expectation to do well inherently makes me :(

Cheating is impossible, as the checksum thingie prevents editing of modifiers etc. Also host saves have to be uploaded just like EU2 every time. I havent seen or heard of any cheating in my aussie group. :) But we know each other rl so maybe that makes things different.

Hey Slargy fun is the word. I was playing Nat Spain last week and in Sep 1939 Uk decided to wipe me out of the war so he invaded with everything he could muster. For that entire 4 hour session me and the Italian player fought continuosly to save spain. Massed infantry battles in Madrid, Stukas from germany in the pyrenees, tanks in the salamancan plains, awesome stuff. Casualties were in the millions and this if war in aminor axis country the battles on the eastern front are awesome.

Get the game you wont regret it. :)

Hush!!! You can't have him!!! He belongs to us!!!!

I'll probably try out some HOI MP when Doomsday is released.

How ironic: a thread is created to bring back Slargos to EU2 MP, but might in the end lure him even further away from the game. Some damage control now, HoG? :D
