Nice. I'm actually surprised how many people not from the Anglosphere are on these forums considering how good everyone's English is. I'm originally from California, #868 I believe. Chumash.
I shared the poll in a mostly-international group too ( You can see that by the high amount of people that voted for "Porto" in the poll but didn't comment in here ), also, I just added your province to the auto-map ( Which is automatically updating to the thread ), if you clear your chache you'll be able to see it ^^

Oh, I'm sorry for the confusion. That's where I was born. I'm actually living in Vietnam now, Dong Kinh (613).

I know, that's what I marked :) When the map comes out ( Aka in 5 minutes ) you'll be able to click and see who also lives in the province

Map is live everyone! If you commented after page 9, your vote isn't on the map yet, and may take some time to show up, unless you add it yourself ;) @Trin Tragula

Some notes about the map:

1) The map contains every province in the game as an independent image. When the map is loading the whole world (which is its default behavior) it's actually loading 3163 images which is why (especially if you have never opened the page before) it will take a while to load.
1b) While you can technically load the map even while on your phone, I'd advise against doing so as the map is not optimized for small-screened touch-based devices (furthermore, it will take something like 3 times as much or more to load everyting). If you're on mobile and want to see the current status of the world, check the image in the first post, it should update automatically
2) The map has been confirmed to work correctly on Chrome, Firefox and Safari.
The map will not work on Internet Explorer or Edge (for some reason these browsers refuse to let the filter css property work for me, good job microsoft )
If you have tried it on other browsers and notice any problems, let me know
3) The color on the provinces is scaled to the province with the most users: that province will get the greenest green, while the provinces with less usesrs than that will slowly go towards red
3b) If you restrict the map to a single region using the dropdown menu, the colors will be scaled to the most populated province in that region
4) When clicking a province you will see a list of users in that province. Clicking the username will open a new tab performing a search on the paradox forum with that username, allowing you to quickly find that player
5) By clicking the "Download Image" button, your browser will download a snapshot of the currently shown map

Can't add sea tiles currently, do you have a province name?
Not really, Born and raised at the seafloor and still living there. Can't imagine that I'm the only one. There should be more of like me, as I see the numbers from other Dutch provinces.
If I had to pick another province I would go for 96-Zeeland. (my earliest known ancestors are from that province, as Major of Middelburg during game period)

Added those notes to the thread :D

Okay! It should be an easier choice now that the map is live :)

Not voting until I can select 1269 Coast of Holland (just Google on Flevoland);)
Well, that's a shame :/ But according to tre3qwerty there *may* be an option to choose sea tiles in the future ^^

English is the language of trade, diplomacy, and international interaction these days; hence people all over the World, and not just in the Anglo sphere, learn it. And in many areas from an early age. For instance here in Scandinavia we learn it from we are small children. For instance in Denmark you start having it in 0th or 1st grade (can't remember which) and are required to have it for at least 11 (12 if it starts in 0th grade) years if you go to high school. It's no surprise then that people don't have trouble speaking English.

That kind of tuition kind of makes me wish it wasn't English, to be honest - I probably took more language courses than most people here, but I'm still not fluent in anything else and it seems like it would be a pretty valuable skill.
