Install and reinstall 1.01

I've SF Victoria + 1.01 NA (downloaded from SF website)
Yesterday I installed on it Paradox 1.01 (the one downloaded from your website, I think it's better than SF's one).

Then uninstalled everything. Reinstalled plain 1.00 Victoria and tried to reinstall Paradox's 1.01 only, but the install wizard told me that 1.01 was already present on my PC... I suppose it's a problem with my registry, right?

If you have the SF version you should stick with the SF patch. What makes you think the other one is better?

But yes it is a problem with the registry.
Check the self help sticky thread, notice that 1.uninstall is a hot link. It will give you instructions on fixing up your registry.

As I posted some days ago in another thread, the two are not exactly the same. My games with NA 1.01 have been more "frozen" than ones with Paradox 1.01. Countries (also great powers) without any particular action for 85 years, missing events and in particular a lot of effects of inventions on building costs, tax efficiency and so on don't work with NA 1.01. Try it

Btw, I've printed the selfhelp and I'll try after to work on it. I'll follow your advise and stay with 1.01 NA, waiting for 1.02. Thanks
