i dl 1.06 and tried running the install, do i have to uninstall HOI and then reinstall it before i install the patch? i am running 1.05c right now

i fixed it, it was trying to install the patch to a different game :-/ so i just switchedt he path and it is fine, but i lost my HOI cd so i cant wipe and save 
I think there is a instruction somewhere in this forum on a manual total removal... can't remember where I saw it just now. But not having the CD probably mean loosing interest sooner and (thus more likely) doing a removal sooner. Perhaps. Perhaps not.
As soon as something is messed up and one really need a re-install one is really stuck...
Anyway, the information on the removal seems useful in a general point of view and even more so with 1.06, meaning more people would be more likely to have a need for a clean setup when getting a stable 1.06.
I see now that it should have been better to link to the HOI-specific uninstall instruction of yours, but I didn't find it just then and didn't remember it. My mistake. It is a good instruction, maybe you should put it into the sticky directly instead of having a link? For some reason people tend to miss the first (single-line) item in the list (me to!?).
Don't matter where I put it people will still miss it.
