I hope its not too late to join yet... :( from what i have read the posts of minister of intelligence or security have not been taken, and I would be extremely honoured to take such a post.

So....? :confused: please? :)
 
cyborgevo since the minister of intelligence is in charge of special ops and we have no such troops(marines and paratroopers) you may have both intelligence and security minister positions. If you want a job as a field commander too then tell me.

I know I haven't updated for a while but I've been extremely busy. I think we are about ready to start the game so if anyone wants something done differently you better say so.

i don't know if this was noticed before, but i have not seen a response to it. i don't mind if we do not start the game with the original units, but consider this:

1. we have been shorted four (4) infantry divisions, all with brigades. plus, we have been shorted another brigade. what does that represent? well, in manpower it represents 3 for each brigade except the E brigade which does not cost any extra manpower (total for brigades = 12), plus the manpower cost of 10 manpower per div (total for divisions = 40) which is 52 manpower. now, as we start the game with only 20 manpower, that 52 is huge.

2. plus, we have been shorted the resources to build those units. thus one inf-AA takes [9x90=] 810 IC to build; the inf-AT takes [10x90=] 900 IC to build, the inf-E costs [9x90=] 810 IC to build; the inf-A takes [12x90=] 1080 IC to build, plus the remaining Arty brigade takes an extra [7x90=] 630 IC to build. that is a total of 4230 IC's. in resources, that is 8460 coal, 4230 steel, and 2115 rubber. stack that up vs. our starting resources of 5.000 coal, 5.000 steel, 2.000 rubber, 2.000 oil, and 500 supplies. well, we lose more coal and rubber than we start with, and, almost as much steel as we start with. and that does not take into consideration the time it takes to build those units...

anyway, i rest my case. and i will abide by your decision.

Ok people soon it will begin. Only one thing stands between my finger and the pause button. For some reason the game will only allow me to edit in two field commanders. I am working on this problem and have some ideas. Hopefully we will not be delayed to long.

Mr.G I want to know by what date would you like use to have researched those techs? Our IC is going to be very small while we expand it.

just an idea. but you could try to load the game and then save the game after you edit in those two field commanders, then do it again...

also, IIRC, the critical thing with commanders is the ID numbers. you will get a critical error of type = 6 id = xxxxx where xxxxx is the duplicate id numbers...

I was working with the save game file but if I had more than two custom made leaders they were deleted and yes I made sure I saved.

I did get that error message if I had over a certain number in the leader file. It had the id number 0 and since I didn't give anyone and id 0 I'm not sure what it means.

My idea is to find other generals with the traits one of my generals have and then I'll copy their line and replace the name. I'll find out tommorrow if it works or not.

just be sure to record the id number of your generals, and replace the id number of the foreign general with the id number of your general... you also have to change the tag id of the line.

hmmm. have you checked out Vulture's post on leaders? this is it! this has almost all, if not all, the information needed on leaders.
 
Thanks GhostWriter i'm going to try again tommarrow. IF it does not work I don't think it would be fair to have only two field commanders in the game when others want a command. In this case I will form a Senate and use my creative mind to come up with some new jobs. The Senate can always vote for two field commanders. Once again this is only if I can't get more than two field commanders in the game. However I might even consider forming a Senate if you all think it would make this more interesting.

From now on I promise to update each weekend unless it's a holiday or something like that. I just hope I haven't lost anyone since I haven't updated for awhile.
