"We will definitely be developing other character based strategy games, but I want each of our games to have its own unique “soul” (Victoria covers imperialism and the People, Europa Universalis the rise of nation states and colonialism, and Crusader Kings has the rulers and their families.) That we will eventually cover other periods in history with our games seems a reasonable bet, but in that case they will differ from our other games in some key ways."

Are we going to see any brand new game based on the Clausewitz engine in the near future?
"Yes! First up is Hearts of Iron IV, the latest in our successful WW2 series of wargames, which will be released in Q2 or so. We have another game in production and yet another one in pre-production."

Well, I don't assume he is trolling the press :p So... there's just two games in production/pre or he wasn't informed about either Titus or Tiberius. :p

But what we really need to know is what Project Augustus is. :(

Like the China DLC encouragement... :)

Yeah, but I'm worried. RoI already killed performance on many machines, despite the continuous reassurance that everything would have worked out. If I were to choose between giving up support, bug fixing and mods by stopping at an older patch and shelling 700€ I don't have for a new pc, I would get a bit incensed.

Could mean that there are two Clausewitz based games in the (pre-) production and thus the third one is not a Clausewitz -game?

Rome 2 confirmed.

The Clausewitz engine was used in Runemaster afaik, so I don't see the point in either creating a new one or using one that exists in the market.

Either Titus or Tiberius could be Pdx North title (like Magica 3 or something).

I don't think so, Johan usually speaks about PDS titles and roman emperors as project names started as a PDS thing. I'm not saying he can't speak for PDX North or PI in general, he can do whatever he wants :p, neither I'm saying the other studios can't use roman emperors as project names, anyway, your guess is as good as mine.

But what I'd like to bet is that one of the three projects is EU:Rome sucessor/spiritural sucessor or Victoria 3. :p

there would be riots in the ck2 forum til they locked it entirely

Do realize the cost for that license would be costly, thought tell tale got it...

telltale has a god awful amount of money and history of accessable to the public games to throw at getting them: paradox doesnt.

Aye, but he did also mention that with some work the performance issues could be worked around, but I would rather a Renaissance DLC before China, but it would still be nice.

Sounds like the two projects in the interview was done in Clausewitz so i think they are PDS games.

The performance issues could not be worked around for India, and you can't improve the performance of a program ad libitum; I doubt the game will remain playable for a large slice of the playerbase, if they go with China.
