Hi AnarchyBurger! Sorry, there is indeed a bug I introduced when doing fixes for the related "Prometheus Avenged" achievement with hotfix. This makes it so the Golem spawns much more often on "hard" difficulty than intended (not affecting games started before the hotfix patch). This will be fixed with the next patch we drop. You get attacked by a progenitor golem on turn one and when you kill it it instantly responds with an even stronger army. This is impossible
You sure that achievement works? I replayed the map to get the achievement (normal difficulty) and i'm pretty sure I killed the bird more than 5 times, but the achievement didn't pop.
It's still bugged for me. I am currently on turn 55. I killed the golem... I don't even know how many times at this point. More than 10? I don't have the achievement.I have the achievement
Krazura Trials? I never even got that quest, whatever it is. I was playing a Reaver Dragon and got distracted by every neutral and free city declaring war on me the moment they saw me. So I basically spent 55 turns cleaning the map until I could actually start working on the quests. All of that time, killing the golem again and again but the achievement never popped. Thanks for inquiring on this further MK1980 and sorry for the inconvenience caused by this. The achievement was in fact still broken in specifically the case of completing the Krazura Trials and then not showing the feather. We will fix this in our next patch, though the fix will not retroactively apply to games where that quest was already completed.
So in order to get the achievement you should either wait with completing that quest until you got it (and killed the golem 5x therefore) or wait for the next patch to start a new run of the mission.
I am a Good Dragon Reaver with Felines as my appearance. I know that sounds weird but that's exactly why I chose it. I had already played bird people the previous game on the ash map where all the dragons are at war (I forget the name).I do not know if you are playing an evil Dark culture or something so everyone hates you, but naturally, I would imagine you cannot do the Krazura trials if you conquer rather than cooperate with them. The nearest Krazura to the north mad4e peace, and then ushered me into their trail system after I met the Krazura player. The krazura city to the south early declared war, but another krazura city negotiated peace between us before I ever made my way down to them.. I never had to fight much of anyone besides the golem and the brigands/monsters. After you complete the trails and kill it, it stops spawning.
I think the quest should have triggered the first time you met them (AI Krazura player) same as quest Cage of Binding for Commonwealth Remnants....

Oh, it was no biggy. I just annexed the free cities. Then force-vassalized the Krazura after they inevitably declared war on me. Also strangely, force-vassalizing the Krazura does not count as allying them, despite they are my allies by definition, at least according to the diplomacy screen. The fact the game does not consider them my allies despite me force-vassalizing them means I cannot complete the main quest at all because the quest says for me to "Ally or Defeat the Krazura;" apparently vassalizing them counts as neither?!I'd have to play it again. I've already done it once. Suffice to say, I doubt you can do the trial system if you simply conquer them instead of make peace.
Nor do I believe that is a requirement to conquer the free cities if they declare war. Perhaps it would take longer if they start evil, but free cities will typically ultimately make peace. I imagine they would also do so if you bargained with them. It might be more difficult, and evil alignment for them should perhaps be disabled, but I doubt it's otherwise broken.
To my recollection, you barter with the nearest ruler. I don't think it even requires the southern city in my game to have made peace.
