I've been experiencing CTD in 1.92 through multiple playthroughs. The circumstances seem to not matter. All games eventually come to crash-friendly state after 40~50 years. I've not had this problem before 1.92.

I am using the lastest steam version with all DLCs.

Its eased up from the BETA... but yes CTD makes the joy of playing a lot less. I play a 2-3hour session? I expect CTD atleast 8-10 times. I spend a lot of time saving! I have good FPS but doesn't matter the CTD isn't to do with FPS drops. The GPU I use is a R9 285 but then again I know its not that because mod'less CK2 never crashes. I can't tell what may be causing the game because sometimes I am doing nothing but look at the screen then CTD... other times I am in the middle of a war or even, trying to marry off a heir and CTD.

I am not complaining just saying this mod CTD for me so much I don't play the mod as much as I would wish. Also I have a clean install of CK2 and I don't keep save games, don't take screenshots, don't use any mods other than AGOT.

I have all DLC.

As I brought up in a previous thread, there is some issue with crashing, and it seems more expedient when you play someone who doesn't own a county, from my experience. I crash very quickly when I play a game as the Kingsguard or Daemon, for instance, and even though the gameplay time for other characters may be longer it will indeed result in a crash, at some point.

Juts to test the house customizer, I created a new son and heir for Tywin. My character is currently the Lord of Castamere, but after about 5 years of playthrough it the game has started to crash very frequently. I'm even considering monthly autosave as yearly doesn't seem frequent enough for the crashes.

Crashes are certainly a problem. Tried to reload the same year 3 times but it keeps crashing (no specific date), so now I just gave up. I'll try the next version instead, love the mod tho =)

I have this problem having resurrected the Durrandon family. After about 15 years of playing, the game now crashes on the same date every time I play, without fail. This also happened when I tried to play in Faros and reform the island kingdom there. After my character reached his mid-thirties, it began to crash repeatedly to desktop. Now I'm going to have to delete this save too:[

The crashes are horrendous. The game is absolutely brilliant, but also unbelievably unplayable.

Before releasing anything, even a BETA, please fix the crashes. No point releasing a fully BROKEN beta. Beta implies testing and partially working phase. This isn't working.

I will say, though, that I've never had this problem with previous versions of the beta. It usually works very well, and I usually see almost no bugs(Except for futa Daenerys getting Irri pregnant, that seems to be recurring for some reason). This is the first version this has happened like this, so I can only assume the mods tried something new or forgot some fix before making the beta public.

The last four or five updates I usually start as King Robert and just try to play on from there. I've yet to see him die before the crashes completely stop the game. I really wish this mod would go beyond being a demo. =(

Tarroque, this mod is far, far away from being a demo. I strongly suggest you learn something about programming so that you can understand a bit better the work that went into this before you insult it. In the meantime, though, wait for it to get fixed, or try another scenario.

Or, you know, you could not insult something that you're not putting forth your free time to make.

I would like to play this mod and I feel sad I can't do it for very long. I seriously doubt anyone but Derek Smart could view that as an attack.

Where's these programmer degree and coding requirements coming from anyway? The mod isn't difficult to install.

So that you can understand the work that went into making it, which has nothing to do with ease of installation. The point is, you're playing something that is a free addition to a game you're playing. There's nothing wrong with offering criticism of it, or pointing out bugs - Those things are needed to help it improve. I just got irritated that you called it a demo. I can't claim to have played many CK2 total conversion mods, but of the ones I have played, this is far and away the easiest to install and play, and the most fleshed out.

There's also the factor of Essos - As big as Westeros is, Essos it nearly two and a half times it's size. That's a lot of characters for your system to keep track of, which may be contributing to the crashes. I believe(Not sure) that there's a mod the cuts Essos out of the game, so that may help stabilize it, if you can find it.

Edit: I may have been a bit overzealous defending the mod. I'm sorry if I seemed to attack you for no reason, but like I said, try to understand that this is something the programmers are doing in their free time, and they've put a lot of work and effort into it. Explore it more fully, try other characters and bookmarks - Try to experience the entirety of the mod before you call it a demo. If ctds permit, of course.
