ooh, KR. I might join depending on the times and such. I'll probably just get USA, Italy, or Qing, or Ottoman. Something along the lines of non-important. 
ugh, how do you chat while in-game? Also, in-game there is a chat.
IRC is out of question for me. Steam is possible, but I won't be able to chat in-game with it.
So basically there is no channel, that everyone would have/would use.

I don't get it, why would we use IRC (Text Chat if I'm not wrong) when DH already has a text-chat built into the MP part?
Because it's not working BEFORE we start the game? We are looking for a solution, on where to organize the game, not to how talk during the game.
I fail to see how IRC would change anything apart from clogging up my computer even more with silly programs I don't need or want.
About 5 years ago you had to, unless I mix up IRC with something else. Still, I can't connect to whatever that link is supposed to be.

It seems that the corresponding timezones are from GMT-8 (maybe, if everyone is from the eastern coast, then it's only GMT-5) to GMT+2.
It makes a range of 10 hours. Weekdays or weekends? I would find somewhere GMT 20 o'clock an optimal, it's 22 in East Europe, and 12 in West America.
