I have to agree with someone else's push-back on @cKnoor. The reason so many of these topics have been gone into so much on the forums is because we want to know the answer, and dev's haven't been on the forums much. So those are the questions that should have priorty in a Dev Q&A, not be ignored completely.
Wut? The Devs have been around posting here way more than between say the last Q&A of 2017 and up to when the forum move happened.

One thing I just got since I wasn't able to watch the full stream while I was at work (just watched it tonight after I got back) was a little blurb about the campaign being in an easily accessible format?
Did anyone else catch that? And does that mean what I think it means?
Nice to have it more-or-less confirmed, but I would have been shocked if it wasn't.

The bottom line is that the people writing the code and the people writing the story are - for the most part, anyway - entirely different groups. And the people writing the code don't want the people writing the story to have to come back to them with new requests every time they want to change a minor story point. Flexible code is just good design, really.

Why would anyone use light mechs in random missions? So far from all the streamers' plays, there's zero reason to take a spider if you have a medium/heavy mech available. In what scenario would a player be better off with 4 mixed weight class than 4 assaults?
So far, I haven't seen a single streamer that has used lights properly.

Although I didn't try it myself, from what I've heard many people sent 4 locusts up against 4 atlases (atlai?) during the backer beta and won. Reserve and (more or less literally) run circles around them. I doubt I'll ever go heavier than 2 assaults, a heavy, and a medium... manipulating turn order is just that powerful.

Edit: And even if I end up using mediums as my scouts in the end-game, in the earlier parts of the game lights fill that higher-initiative role perfectly. Those pure medium lances I see in the streams would be much improved by a properly used light scout.

2nd Edit: Plus we didn't even have Ace Pilot as an option in the backer beta... once you add that in? Manipulating turn order using reserve with high initiative becomes even better. Roughly twice as good, at a guess.

This. Once I get my hands on a Jenner or Firestarter they will remain part of my Lance until I run out of Spareparts or the OpFor stops deploying mediums.
My dream lance for the endgame is King Crab, Highlander, Black Knight, Kintaro

Just watched the QnA session. I enjoyed it; although I agree not as many questions as I would like and many were repeats from previous videos. Still nice to see the devs chat it up and talk about their 'baby'. I wish them luck on their launch

Many players are assuming that some sort of C.A.S.E feature is auto-included on mechs, can you confirm this?
3050 tech so nope
They aren't asking if CASE is on the mech (which is out of time frame, as you mentioned).

Ammo explosions have been seen in the backer beta and streamer buildare to be restricted to their component, which is a CASE feature. So the answer is kind of yes, every mech gets "free CASE".

Might be an "in success" thing, but I'll ask anyway:

Any chances to pay off the debt on the Leopard and get the clearance to do some mods to it?

Is the engine flexible enough to expand to two-lance deployment later, or would it require major re-coding?

Can the story system accommodate more than one storyline in play at a time, such that a modder doesn't have to overwrite the HBS storyline, but have a small storyline of their own running in parallel? If so, could some informal "How 2 Writ Gud N Stuf" guidance be conveyed at a future date?
Leapord at most could carry 5 mechs and that is clan tech. So not likely. Now if you could get ahold of a union which has a base 12.......

I just wish people would check battletech wiki first before asking about 3050 tech or later. It was GDL core that started the tech renaissance.

Maybe a "by exception" transcript of only new information or changes to old information. It would help keep the transcription effort more manageable.

And let me please take this time to once again than @Faenaris for all the contributions to our community that he has already made. Thank you good Sir! Your efforts are greatly appreciated.

The standard leopard has 4 mechbays and two Aerospace bays that can be converted to cargo, each storing 150 tons. That means you can have four mechs in the bays. One atlas in each Aerospace bay, and then smaller or partial mechs in as well.

In other words, if you are willing to pack them in like peanuts then you can fit much more than four mechs.

Sadly, I'm not working on a transcript. Work is eating into my free time and since I need about three to four hours for an hour of transcription, I haven't advanced very far. I will try my utmost best to get the transcripts out as soon as possible.
