disagree with hot. all cats come from Egypt, where they domesticated us. unlike dogs, who we met in the wild wherever we moved, and domesticated there, so they come from all over.
True, but long-haired cats are at a higher risk of heat stroke than normal cats. The hair interferes with heat dissipation. I have a picture somewhere that will demonstrate...

You can see the all that fur between the toes. Cats sweat through their paws and the long hair makes this a lot less efficient in addition to trapping more heat.

Though, I suppose we could consider that fluffy mammals might evolve that aren't fluffy everywhere or have other heat adaptions. Hmm.

Birds can be very fluffy and supremely soft too.

So avians need access to that trait too obviously.

Birbs are downy, not furry, and the fluffy down isn't found in their tails.

And there are plenty of Arctic fish/seals/penguins to, yet Aquatic still reduces habitability on those worlds.

It doesn't have to be absolutely universally correct, it just has to fit the vibes.

Besides, even among fluffy animals, it's easy to see that the fluffiest are definitely those from where it's colder (Arctic foxes, chinchillas, Siberian tiger) rather than where it's hotter (kit fox, hopping mouse, lion).

And even the fluffy things from hot places tend to be nocturnal or crepuscular (like cats), to beat the heat, so their fluff is for dealing with the cold at night.
i am NOT interested in a fluffly trait that does not put cats at the center of its implementation , they are our gods afterall (religion rework should allow me to formally implement this btw)

Anyhow, maybe I'll make a mod for Fluffy and SO. FLUFFY.

Fluffy:
+10% habitability on cold worlds
-10% habitability on wet or hot worlds
+10% amenities usage
+20% entertainer job efficiency
-20% army damage taken (enemies don't want to shoot them)

Hmm, feels like it needs something else though. Not sure how easily I could put in the happiness idea and amenities would do something similar.
+10% energy from pop jobs due to static electricity
-10% science for the same logic applied to delicate instruments
Pops have added mineral upkeep due to need for litter
Pre-sapients provide a happiness bonus and a reduction in food upkeep
