Downloading now, I'll let you know what i think after a few days of playing.

EDIT: after an initial look: are there any plans to make some province borders impassable in mountainous or desert locations? I imagine WWII would have very awkward results, especially in North Africa, without it.

Also, right now basically every coastal province has a beach. Is there plans to reduce that? because otherwise defending against amphibious invasion will probably be neigh-impossible.

EDIT2: I gave the map a quick test drive by invading Bolivia as Argentina. The smaller province sizes make fighting a war in South America sooooo comfy compared to vanilla, but I think I've found a couple of bugs: The Argentinian province of Los Toldos (on the Bolivian border) takes around six months to move in to or out of. Meanwhile, travel betweeen Sucre and Potosi in Bolivia is literally instant. Seems like the position data for those provinces was set wrong, or mixed with others.

Thanks for the feedback. I used the old E3 distance file. Did not check it. Mabye some coordinates are incorrect. If you find any more of these let me know.
Yes too many beaches. Will change that.

We could think about impassable provinces. Suggestions?

Does a non-topographic version of this map exist?
I may use it in place of the Iron Cross map for my new MDS mod, but as this would add perhaps dozens of urban provinces I would be better off using a non-topographic version of the map so I could make such revisions with a degree of flexibility.

I did check on Potosi and Los Toldos. They did indeed have the wrong coordinates. There are bopund to be others. I could really use some help here. If you come across more of these, please let me know.

Great work! I really like this new map. The map is beautiful, but it's hard to see some small provinces with FOW on.

Some mods have impassible province crossings between lake ladoga and Leningrad to simulate the supplying over the lake during the winter. You could add that if you like the idea.

Are all the capitals in every nation meant to have thousands or hundreds of resources for IC?

Like London, has almost 1500 of each resource.

No.

This is still a "beta" we could say.

Nova I'll try to resume work on event files tomorrow.
But something that rounds my mind is what have to be done with the IC and resources.

Let's say, Venice has for example 5 IC, but now we have Verona and Padova too. Should it stay 5-0-0 or should it be dividided 3-1-1 to be adapted to the new map?

This is a map for modders to use. It is not a game for playing.

If you wish to play a game, please see the thread Darkest Hour ported to this map. Thanks

I copied over all the Darkest Hour scenario file headers, which sets up each country now as in 1936 DH. I'm sure there will still be the odd correction due to the fact that there are more provinces. Time will tell.

Doing more? GREAT!
