I have no idea why, but I cannot prevent my ocean provinces from having land provinces information. Look at this image:

What am I doing wrong? It's not a serious problem, but it is quite annoying as I don't know where to begin to solve it.

Do you have them listed as sea_zones in default.map?

Another odd problem... I cannot get the province of Far East Banyar (the big black province on the right, between Alïntanna and West Uläl) to work correctly. It looks like it's perfectly defined in definition.csv, common/history/provinces, common/history/titles, etc...

But it always begins the game empty of characters and holdings. I have even given it an owner, and it doesn't work.

Make your default.map, or you'll continue to get problems caused by conflicts with the vanilla default.map.

Thanks a lot for your help, richvh! :). Writing a default.map file solved the first problem.

Now the rivers and the oceans work correctly, and they no longer have military information. They are just rivers and oceans.

However, the problem with Far East Banyar persists.

You shouldn't have common/history/anything, the correct folders are history/provinces, history/titles, etc.

Yes, sorry, that's what I meant... I have the following folders:

common/landed_titles
common/province_setup
common/traderoutes
history/characters
history/provinces
history/technology
history/titles

5- Far East Banyar.txt seems to be correct; it appears in definition.csv with exactly the same name and number...

1:35 AM: Odd... I cannot enter this province (Far East Banyar) with my troops (I'm playing with the Count of Anïanna, the yellow province more or less in the center of the map).

The green arrow appears, but clicking the right button doesn't do anything. It is as if it wasn't defined, but the files looks fine to me...

Anyhow, it is late and I'm too tired. More tomorrow.

Do you have baronies assigned to it in 5 - Far East Banyar.txt? (Note: the spaces before and after the dashes are required.)

Are those same baronies defined in common/landed_titles, within whatever title Far East Banyar was assigned?

Another strange behaviour in a province... This time, it's id 50 (Zhedian Spires).

Everything looks fine, but it behaves as a wasteland even if I have checked and rechecked the files. I can give its county title to a character, I can make it my main title when playing with character 3, but it is empty and continues being empty... Oh, and there are no extra or missing spaces in 50 - Zhedian Spires.txt

Could anyone take a look at my files?
50 - Zhedian Spires.txt
definition.txt (renamed definition.csv so I could upload it)
c_zhedian_spires.txt
01_landed_titles.txt

y_barony_names.csv, y_county_names.csv and y_province_names.csv seem to be fine.
I have attached them as txt files, just in case.

What is your max_provinces in default.map ?

Remember that you must always make it one higher than your total amount of provinces, because the game uses the final province for some behind the scenes stuff.

Thanks for answering, Klaus.

Yes, I used the Map Filler tool, but then I had to change some files manually, as the mod didn't work (it crashed before the opening menu).

Where is the provinceDefs.xls? I don't have my computer with me at the moment, so I cannot upload it right now. I'll do it tonight as soon as I get home.

If you changed generated files that shouldn't be changed I am out :p
Generated files should be perfectly fine and okay with CK2 2.5

If you used the map filler tool you probably know where that file is: map/provinceDef.xls

What I mean is that I have changed it manually to add more provinces, duchies, counties, etc... after I used the MapFiller.

Nevertheless, I thought it hadn't been updated for a year and that it had some problems with the two latests DLCs...

I have added the info from the new provinces to provinceDef.xls. I thought this file was only used by MapFiller, and that it wasn't used by the game...

Should I just run MapFiller again?

Yes, you should re-run MapFiller after making any changes to provinceDef.xls (which is only used by MapFiller, no .xls files are used by the game.) If you're going to use MapFiller, you should make the changes to provinceDef.xls rather than the output files.
